How have the LED-lamp era in 2019

  • Dec 24, 2019

I recently had a test sent 370 LED lamps. Among them were 58 lamps era, with some of the articles were repeated 2-3 times and the "same" light bulbs manufactured in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Because of this, I was able to compare how to change the lamp Era in different batches. Results grieve.

The first example. Balls G45 9W 720 lm with warm and cold light.

Of the three copies of each type of two released 31.1.2017. These bulbs weigh about 29 grams.

The third lamp with a warm light issued 28.05.2018 and weighs 18 grams.

The third lamp with a cold light issued 25/01/2019. Its weight - 21 grams.

And here are the results of my measurements.

The measured power consumption at "devyativattnyh" bulbs with a warm light, released in 2017 year was 7.3 W, and it proved to have exactly 6W godu published in 2018 (33% less than the promised). Lamps in 2017 give about 680 lumens of light (it is about 93-95% of the promised 720 lm, and fits into the requirements of GOST, the bulb 2018 provides 564 lumens, which is 22% lower than claimed.

Manufacturer packaging indicates that the lamp replace 80-watt incandescent lamp, virtually lamp 2018 can replace a 60-watt.

But, unfortunately, that's not all. The cases of all lamps specified "Color rendering index Ra> 80", but the measured color lamp Index, released in 2018, It amounted to only 72.8. I note that among the 58 tested two lamps were caught with low color rendering index and both of them are produced in 2018.

Compare the lamps 2017 and 2018 release.

The measured power consumption in "devyativattnyh" lamps with cold light, released in 2017, amounted to 7.5-7.7 watts, while released in 2019 - 6.6 W (27% less than claimed). Lamps in 2017 give about 730 lumens of light (this corresponds to the claimed 720 lumens), the lamp 2019 provides 669 lumens, which is 7% lower than indicated on the package.

"Devyativattnye Candle" in 2017 and 2019 showed similar results.

The second example - "Candle" 7 watts.

Light bulb with a date of issue 02.01.2017 called "LED smd B35 7w-827-E14" and shows the luminous flux of 600 lm. The name of the lamp, issued 09.25.2018 year lost "smd", it is simply called "LED B35-7W-827-E14" and shows the luminous flux of 560 lm.

Measured figures are quite different.

Lamp 2017 consumes 5.6 W (19% less than promised), a lamp 2018 5.1 W (27% less than claimed). Measured was 456 lm luminous flux of the lamp 2017 of the year (24% smaller claimed), the lamp 2018 Year - 383 lm (32% less claimed). The manufacturer promises that the lamp will shine as a 60-watt incandescent bulb, but the actual equivalent of a lamp 2008 is only 45 watts.
Note that the weight of these lamps is practically the same.

I will not claim that all the lights in the era of new parties worse. Some lamps measured parameters corresponds exactly stated, for example, in "candle" LED B35-7W-840-E14 are issued 15/03/2019 7 parameters W, 560 lm, equivalent to 60 watts. Measurement results: 6.57 watts, 559 lm, equivalent 60W. But her warm, "sister", issued 25/09/2018, under the same parameters has claimed a total of 5.1 watts, 383 lumens and is the equivalent of a 45 watt incandescent lamp.

Luminous flux, color temperature and color rendering index are measured using and a two-meter integrating sphere spectrometer Instrument Systems CAS 140 CT, The power consumed by the device Robiton PM-2. Before the measurements to stabilize the lamp parameters were heated for half an hour.

Can we assume that the whole lamp era, issued in 2018 were worse than the lamps in 2017, and in 2019 became a little better.

The test results of all lamps Era can be viewed on Lamptest: http://lamptest.ru/search/#currency=rub&type=LED&brand=Эра.

Some people believe that all my parameters measurement of lamps and he Lamptest.ru project does not make sense, since the parameters of lamps can vary greatly from batch to batch, but the main point of the project in the accumulation of information about the different brands of lamps, so you can judge brand products whole. If we talk about the tubes era, they are good (although there are blunders in the form of lamps with low CRI or strong deviation of parameters), but buying them keep in mind that most likely the lamp will be less powerful and brighter than the manufacturer promises, so choose them better, "with reserve.
