I bought two ten-bay cable VVG 3x2.5 GOST, differing in price by almost half, and measured parameters.
As I have repeatedly written, all of the cables that are sold in Russia, divided into two types - made in accordance with GOST and TU. Those made of W, are often the actual cross section in half claimed below, those which are made according to GOST, the actual cross section typically 7-10% lower than this, since it allows to GOST (ammo1.livejournal.com/1054644.html).
In our country, for wiring in apartments and houses most often used cable VVG. Typically, the sockets pulled VVG 3x2.5 cable (though often enough would 3x1.5).
I bought in Leroy Merlin are two ten-bay cable VVG-Png (A) 3x2.5 GOST. The name stands for the cable as follows: B - wire insulation PVC, B - external sheath PVC, D - no armor, P - flat ng - not flammable, (A) - do not spread combustion.
The first bay - Alfakabel for 622 rubles. Manufacturer - Company "Alfakabel" city Orel.

One side of the Voltex cable has a green stripe. This is convenient for installation.
At Voltex under black shell has an additional white brittle layer. It protects the cable cores isolation from cutting during cleaning, and when the black insulation is removed, can be easily removed. Voltex thicker cable - the size of its isolation 15.1x7.7 mm in Alfakabel insulation 11.5x5.5 mm. The insulation of each conductor at the Voltex also has a larger diameter - 3.22 mm (2.85 mm Alfakabelya).
Surprisingly, the two coils of the cable of the same length with the same parameters specified difference in weight almost kilogram: Alfakabel weighs 1.279 kg, kg Volex 2.223.
I measured the length of the cables. Alfakabel - 9 meters 67 centimeters (according to GOST 12177 and may be less than only 1%, ie, 10 cm). Voltex - 10 meters 14 centimeters (wound with a margin)
Perhaps most important - cross section.
Alfakabel - 1.75 mm diameter, 2.40 mm ² section.
Voltex - 1.83 mm diameter, 2.63 mm ² section.
The resistance of one core Alfakabelya (9.67 meters) - 71 Mill, resistance of 1 kilometer - 7.34 Ohm.
Resistance Voltex one conductor (10.14 meters) - 67 Mill, resistance of 1 kilometer - 6.61 Ohm.
GOST 22483-2012 (Table 3) resistance kilometer cable core 2.5 mm² be not more than 7.41 ohms, so that both cables comply with GOST but Voltex made with a good margin.
In general, the stock Voltex felt in everything - and cross-sections of an additional 5% of the nominal, and 14% is larger than allowed GOST and insulation thickness, and an additional layer below the main ferrous sheath and even bay wound with a margin. This is the case when no saved and made cable, perfect in every way. But the price get more.
Alfakabel - good cable according to GOST - section of at least 4% of the nominal, but above the permissible according to GOST, though wrapped by 5% to 33 centimeters less than the specified length, but it is cheap.
And now the fun. Voltex cable produces the same Orlov Cable Plant, which I recently wrote about cheap products (ammo1.livejournal.com/1043045.html, ammo1.livejournal.com/1058021.html). The plant has three brands: "Current Master" - a cheap cable according to specifications, "GOSTok" - an ordinary cable in accordance with GOST and "Voltex" - premium cable, which does not save. At the cables "Current Master" big numbers on the packaging only the name, not the cross-section, but the specified maximum power corresponds to reality. In "GOSTok" figures correspond to the cross-section according to GOST (though less than the real cross-section), while the "Voltex" real cross-section of these figures even higher.
Should I buy a known good cable at double the price the buyer decides. Those who prefer to save, buy a cheaper cable (do not buy cable at TU!), And those who always buys the best, the high price will not confuse.
