Today I'll tell you what the different types of air conditioners are different from each other.
Split
The most common, effective and quiet air conditioners today - "Split". The word "conditioner" most understand it split system.
Split consists of two separate units connected by a 5-wire electrical cable and two copper pipes, which circulates freon. In addition to the street derived from the indoor unit drainage tube which dripping condensate (water formed in the air space as it is cooled). In the external block are compressor and cooling fan. At the same time they do not have heating: air conditioner in the heating mode starts to work "in reverse", chilling out and warming the room. The efficiency of such heating may be very high - with consumed electric power of 650 W, the heating capacity can reach 2200 Watts. However, this power depends on the temperature outside. The colder it is - the worse the heats. At low temperatures outside, the heating power is reduced considerably. Most of the air conditioners can not be turned on when the outside temperature below -10 °.
Split systems today cost from 10,000 rubles. To this we must add the cost of installation, which now stands at 7,000 rubles.
Advantages of a split system - efficiency, low noise, heating function does not take place.
Disadvantages - permanent installation, the complexity and high cost of mounting and dismounting.

Multysplit - a system with one outdoor unit and two or three internal.
Somehow, multisplit any more two or three separate split systems with similar characteristics. In addition to the very high prices at multisplita still many shortcomings. First of all, much less the reliability of the entire system. If the apartment has three conventional split and one fails, the other two will work. If multisplit break, work will be nothing.
The advantage of multi-split systems - one external unit.
Disadvantages - very high cost, low reliability of the system.
Window air conditioners
Window conditioners (monoblock "window air") is arranged in the same way as a split system, but all the details that have split systems are placed in two buildings, here are placed in one and one fan is used with two impellers (one on the street side and the other side premises).
Some have a window air flap for fresh air suction from the street.
The main drawback of window air - a very high level of noise (sleep with the included window air unreal, and just to be with him in a room uncomfortable). Cheap models are very low power, which does not allow to effectively cool even a small room. Most of the models are not heating function. The advantages of window air conditioners - the relative ease of installation, low price, the air sucked from the street in some models.
Disadvantages - high noise level, low power cheap models, most models do not have heating function, reducing the effective area of the window, unaesthetic.
Mobile air conditioners
Mobile air conditioning (monoblock "Napolnikov") is a rather big "locker" on wheels. For heat removal uses a flexible tube of large diameter, which must be put in the box.

Coolers and klimatizatory
These devices resemble mobile air conditioners, and many of them are confused. The cooler is not conditioned and works on the principle of wet cloth, through which the blowing fan.
This principle makes it possible to slightly reduce the temperature in the room, but we are not talking about serious cooling. In klimatizatorah conventional heater is also installed.
Advantages of the air coolers and klimatizatorov - low price, no need to install, quick transfer to a new place.
The disadvantage - low cooling efficiency.
