Standalone Japanese lamps Ritex

The Japanese company Musashi Co. Ltd., which owns the trademark RITEX, is one of the leaders in the development and production of autonomous lighting.

I had the opportunity to explore the four lamps.

Projectors and Ritex lamps are legendary Japanese quality, as well as a wide range of applications (apartments, home / garden / garden cottages, garages, industrial backup lighting, etc.), in which combines reliability, interesting design and energy saving technology.

Portable lamp ASL-050 It can be placed on a wall, in a closet or in any other place where need lights.


Its power LED 1 W, it enables up to 88 lumens of light.


Includes wall mount, which can be mounted on double sided tape or screws.


The lamp is powered by three batteries type C.


The switch has three settings - continuous lighting is switched off, the motion sensor. Himself motion sensor is fixed on a hinge, which allows to raise and lower it, except for the inclusion of the lamp by moving pets. In light of the motion sensor mode is lit all the time until motion is detected, and another 20 seconds after motion stops.

Thanks to the quick-mount luminaire is convenient to use as a flashlight - it can always be taken in hand and illuminate any location.

The characteristics indicated that the continuous operation of the lamp mode will last 20 hours. But this mode is intended for use as a lamp in the flashlight, and when it is fixed on the wall and ignited on the motion sensor, the battery will last for more on the 2000 inclusions or 200 days if the lamp will be turned on 10 times a day.

I measured the consumption of the lamp. When the batteries are new, the lamp consumes 240 mA. C-type alkaline batteries have a capacity of 5,500 mAh, so I can make the assumption that the lamp will last 1.5-2 times longer than stated in the specifications, because as battery discharge voltage and current are reduced and the actual work time is obtained approximately three times more than the result of simply dividing the battery capacity at initial current consumption.

Using the spectrometer Uprtek MK350D I measured the characteristics of light. The color temperature of 5820K.


Ball Shaped Portable Lamp ASL-090 with a universal mounting 1 W and claimed luminous flux 110 lm.


Luminaire be anchored to a metal surface or any member of the set washer and can also be mounted or suspended via a tripod with flexible legs.


Includes instruction in Russian and Japanese, a tripod, a washer and a kit for its fastening.


The lamp is powered by three AA batteries.


The switch is the same as the previous fixture: continuous lighting is switched off, the motion sensor. In light of the motion sensor mode is lit all the time until motion is detected, and another 10 seconds after motion stops.


According to the characteristics, the batteries last about 1,800 inclusions or 180 days at ten inclusions per day, and in the continuous-operation time is 7 hours.
The result of my current measurements with fresh batteries - 350 mA. AA type alkaline batteries have a capacity of 2,200 mAh. I can assume that the actual operating time will also be 1.5-2 times higher than specified.

Spotlight on batteries LED-265 It has 7 watts and gives 600 lm.


Spotlight can be mounted on a wall, in addition to complete fastening of the clamp on the pipe or beam.


Reflectors and motion detector are rotated 180 degrees, moreover reflectors rotate around its axis by 135 degrees. Each of the reflectors provides a substantially uniform light circle (at a distance of 1 m diameter of the circle is approximately 2 m), reflectors can be diluted in hand for wide-angle illumination or bring together to obtain a single brighter a circle.

In the spotlight, there are three modes of operation - 5 seconds after the movement, 20 seconds after the move, and 20 seconds after the flashing motion (protection mode). In addition there is the controller, you can configure the switch on the motion sensor only in the dark.

The characteristics indicated that the battery will last for 4200 5-second inclusions or 420 days at ten inclusions per day. Spotlight consumes 1520 mA. type D alkaline batteries have a capacity of about 10,500 mAh. I assume that in fact the battery will last for thousands of 6-8 and 1.5-2 thousand five-second 20-second inclusions. Of course, if the lamp in front of the sensor will be someone to keep moving, the number of inclusions will be reduced.

Spotlight with solar panel S-90L It is running on battery power, charging that uses an external solar panel. Its power 15 W, the claimed luminous flux 1400 lumens.


Includes solar panel 6V 2W with a 5-meter cable, instruction in Russian and Japanese-mounting clamp for floodlight and solar panels on the pipe or beam (without these fasteners, they can be fixed to a wall), a set of screws and dowels.


The central reflector always shines forth, the position of the side reflectors is adjustable. Though reflectors and square, each of these terms gives uniform light (at a distance of 1 m diameter circle of about 1.8 m). Circles of light from three reflectors can be reduced in a bright circle.

The battery is connected to the spotlight socket bottom. Close to switch connector.


The motion sensor can be rotated 180 degrees. On it two handles: the right selects a mode (5 seconds after the luminescence of motion, 20 seconds, 20 seconds flashing).

The left knob controls the light sensor mode (can be customized to the spotlight is turned on by motion sensor in the dark).


The floodlight used dual lithium battery 3.7V 3600 mAh.


According to the characteristics, the battery charge is enough for about 500 seconds inclusions 5 or 125 5-second. Spotlight consumes 1590 mA. Based on the battery capacity and consumption, it can be assumed that the battery is actually enough 1,600 inclusions is 5-second mode and switching 400 a 20 second mode. Daily battery charging from the sun ensure uninterrupted lamp operation for several years.

The color temperature of 6389K.


Autonomous lighting RITEX - an interesting solution for apartment (much more convenient to install in the hall closet or a lamp and not have to worry about wires), and for a country house. In each of the four fixtures, came to me, applied the original design solutions: the first light ASL-050 is conveniently secured in the hallway and used as a flashlight if necessary, removing it from the mounting. Second ASL-090 and can be primagnitit to the fridge and put it on a tripod, and suspended using flexible tripod legs. LED-third 265 and fourth S-90L can be used both for the wide angle light reflectors spreading to the sides, and for a bright beam, bringing them together.
