This device allows you to record video from digital video surveillance IP-based cameras, and with it you can view the images from the camera on any monitor or TV.
The word "Video" in the Russian language has a very broad meaning: it means and motor recorder (Car DVR) and recorder for cameras transmitting analog signal (DVR) and recorder for IP-chambers (NVR). Because of this, there is often confusion.
This DVR is NVR and works only with IP-cameras connected via LAN cables and switch network (ethernet switch). There are three versions of the recorder supporting up to 4, 8 and 16 cameras. They are standing $ 23.99, $ 29.59 and $ 39.99. I ordered a 4-channel, but somehow came 8-channel. It supports up to 8 cameras with a resolution of up to 4 MB or 4 chambers with a resolution of up to 5 MB.
There are several ways to control the registrar:
- USB-mouse on the monitor connected to the recorder (most convenient for initial setup);
- Infrared remote control on a monitor (remote not included, and management is less convenient than a mouse);
- On a computer through Internet Explorer (other browsers are not supported);
- On a computer using the standard or alternative CMS program;
- On your smartphone through the cloudy XMEye application.
View live video from the cameras and can record on a monitor or TV connected to the Registrar, on the computer (in IE or CMS program) on your smartphone through XMEye (data is transmitted through the cloud, so your smartphone can be even on the other side of the ball).
The main "chip" of the registrar - the ability to use the card as the main storage MicroSD memory up to 256 GB or flash drive (most other recorders can record only to hard disk). However, hard drives are also supported, both directly connected via the eSATA port (requires a separate power supply for the drive) and external disks connected via USB.
If you only use motion recording, MicroSD cards to 32GB is enough for a few weeks recording.
The front panel of the registrar memory card slot, turn light, IR receiver and the combined eSATA / USB connector. An important point: if you turn on the recorder detects that the drive is connected to it (USB flash drive, memory card, hard disk) is not formatted in its format, it starts formatting, if you do not give up for ten seconds.
The rear panel connectors are VGA and HDMI for connecting a monitor or TV, RJ45 connector, two USB connectors and connector MicroUSB power.
Logger is powered from 5 volts and this is another difference from conventional recorders that use a 12-volt power supply. Included adapter cable and 5V 1.5A USB-MicroUSB. No remote, the mouse, either.

The board stated its name - HS-NVR-T3536D-8. There are three connectors unsoldered. One five-pin connector J2 wired, but its purpose is unknown.

The registrar is built on a processor HiSilicon HI3536 (Data Sheet: support.hkvstar.com/file/Hi3536.pdf).
This processor supports codecs H.265 Main Profile L5.1 and H.264 Baseline / Main / High profile L5.0. It can encode up to 64 channels D1 (720x576), up to 32 channels 720p to 1080p 16 and 4 channels 4K channels, so most likely 4/8/16-channel versions differ only registrar firmware.
The 8-channel model N9000-8EX supports two modes: 4 MP 8 channels or 4 channels 5 mp.
Many people write that Chinese registrars is incompatible with the Chinese chambers, leading to the impossibility of motion recording. This receptionist I checked with seven different IP-camera with Aliexpress and recording working motion. Unlike DVRs for analog cameras (DVR), in this NVR (and possibly all NVR in principle) no pre-record and recording is carried out at least 10 seconds after the cessation of motion in the frame. DVR Enster N9000-8EX works fine, takes up very little space and, thanks to the support of flash drives and cards MicroSD as the main drive, it allows you to build a cheap and absolutely noiseless video surveillance system.
I do not know, to be able to live long memory card or USB flash drive in a constant cyclic overwrite mode. Time will tell.
Small minus registrar - pyativoltovoe food. This means that it does not turn the camera and DVR powered from a power supply, and when using 12-volt source uninterruptible power supply will have to do a separate power supply for the recorder (however, module Step-Down, which is perfectly suitable for this goal, It costs only $ 0.69). Another drawback - no way to save the recorded track on a USB flash drive to the recorder (only on a computer or smartphone).
