With me there was another Chinese epic Fail. It turns out, the larvae (cylinder mechanism) locks come in different sizes, and I'm not talking about their length.
Almost all of the locks, which are sold in Russia, are the larvae of the same size - height 34 mm, width at widest point 17 mm in the narrow - 10 mm. They differ only in the length of larvae for doors of different thickness.
I, like probably most of you, was certain that no other standard exists in the "Black Friday" ordered on Aliexpress two larvae with tricky keys. Each cost $ 15.27 (about 1000 rubles).
Larvae come quickly worked fine, but when it came to the installation of the door, it turned out that they are smaller than normal, and they can not be set. It turned out that there is some Chinese standard for reducing the size of the larvae with 29x15x9 mm. But I do something and it never occurred to pay attention to those numbers and measure the normal larva before ordering.
of course on the product page not a word about the fact that it is a custom size. Two reviews there now appeared that the larvae do not fit our locks, but when I ordered them feedback, alas, was not.
I even found out how much it costs to send the seller larvae back to China. It turned out that our mail picks for this 1200 rubles - it makes no sense.
I do not understand why the seller in big red letters not written that these larvae are not suitable for European and Russian castles. Standard larvae had also haveBut much more expensive.
As a result, I was left with two completely useless larvae that and throw a pity, and nowhere to apply, but now you know that in the world there are non-standard cylinder mechanisms (Larvae). :)
