I know how tired of all the stories about travel, so I try to tell and show the something interesting and different from what occurs in different cities and countries.
Today show interesting of his journey in the Finnish city of Tampere. I'm sure a lot will surprise you.
You probably decided that this boat? No, it's a coffin.
Tampere - the second largest city in Finland. In it lives about 213 thousand inhabitants - a little less than in the Moscow suburb of Khimki, but in contrast to the Khimki there and theaters, and large concert halls, and shops and very beautiful city center.
In Tampere, the best in the world of graffiti. They are projected onto the walls and changed once a season.
The showcase social service put a set of clothes, which is issued free of charge to every newborn resident of the city.
Fountains for the winter closed glass bells and illuminated from within.
In contrast to all other cities in the world, in Tampere there is a high tower, but it is not television. The tower was built from the start as lookout.
Upstairs - observation deck and revolving restaurant.
the city from the tower look.
Another observation tower stands on the hill.
It is quite small, but due to the high location, with views of the city it is no worse.
At the bottom of the tower cafe with delicious donuts.
The cafe sells special drink with a tower.
We arrived from St. Petersburg and moved around Tampere on a large white Ford Explorer.
Petrol in Finland expensive, so the locals prefer small fuel-efficient cars and the monster stood out on Finnish roads. We joked that the residents of Tampere probably already laid epic about a big white car, chaotically moving around the city and in violation of all the rules (of course, does not violate the rules on purpose). :)
In Finland, the banks do not have their own ATMs. All ATMs in the country served by one company Otto. For residents it is very convenient: no need to look for an ATM of your bank.
Very interesting treated with the old locomotive depot.
To it was attached is the tallest building in the city.
In the building - a hotel, and in the former depot - the restaurant of this hotel.
Perhaps the most amazing thing in Tampere, is a gigantic underground parking.
The length of the parking lot - a few kilometers. It is located under the main street of the city, but very deep (judging by how many rides the elevator, depth of the parking lot is the same as the height of a 5-storey building). At the parking lot there are three exit and a plurality of outputs from the lifts. From above they look like.
And at the bottom, under the ground, a huge space.
Across the parking lot, you can go from one part of town to another.
And on top - the street.
Unusual playground with large luminous plastic chair and a floor lamp.
Do not guess what the black squares. This mini-trampolines. They stretched rubber bands and they can jump.
In Tampere, it was great. I hope I was able to show you the town with an unusual and interesting side.
p.s. If you have not seen my story that Tampere authorities did with the old textile factory, be sure to take a look: http://ammo1.livejournal.com/703832.html.
