Nigel Kirkwood has worked in the mining industry in Australia for over 25 years. When it came time building the house, the man decided to make it in the form of a tunnel. The resulting house is more like a hobbit house of fantasy novels, but the owner said that he is happy to live in such a house.

Pursuing the construction of his house, Nigel was inspired by the shape of tunnels, where he worked as a young man. The basis of the underground house are two large concrete pillars that hold the 19-ton structure made of stainless steel. On top of it a man to lay water and flame retardant material. In the end it was all covered with a thick layer of loamy sand and green plants. Watering is carried out throughout the year.
