Secondly, I am retired and I have no money on expensive fertilizers and chemicals.
Therefore, I try to use only natural feeding. On one of which will be discussed in this article.
Potato dressing for currant
Many believe that the currants are not in need of care, but it is not. If you want a big harvest, the bushes need time to feed and process.
One of the best natural fertilizers for currant, I think feeding of potato peelings. It is absolutely natural and does not require money, and most importantly, contains all the necessary material for this berry.
The recipe is very simple. We need:
- Dried or fresh potato peelings;
- A large saucepan;
- Pure water.
Take a large metal pan and fill it on 8/10 potato peelings. (If the dry cleaning, fill only half the pot). Fill scalded with boiling water and leave to infuse for 6-7 days in a warm room.
A week later, absorbed water purification potato softened and become slurry. For mass uniformity broth can be mixed.
That's all we've got a natural, rich in minerals and trace elements fertilizer. The resulting slurry was added dropwise around the bushes at a depth of about 15-20 cm.
Feed currants thus possible both in spring and autumn. As a result, the harvest will be larger and juicier berries.
