Oh, this is not an easy job - digging in the ground after the rain! First you work, and then for a full hour you try to wash your hands, clothes and shoes from the dirt, which sticks to huge lumps. Sound familiar?
In the fall, the porch and hallway are slowly but surely covered with a layer of dirt. How to deal with this problem? I'll tell you some practical tips!
1.Gathered into the house - change your shoes!
Many people who work in the country, in the garden, as well as permanently live in a private house, are accustomed to putting on replaceable shoes near the entrance. Of course, this habit is not the worst and is quite useful. But it does not completely solve the problem!
Slippers are often forgotten on the street. If it starts raining, your shoes can be irreparably damaged. I believe that this option is optimal for late spring and summer, when the weather is nice and warm. At other times, I advise you to use other methods.
2.Grass on the tracks is a panacea for dirty shoes
I personally tried this option. Buy a few bags of garden grass seeds, sow the paths between the beds and enjoy the result. Firstly, green grass is pleasing to the eye. Secondly, thanks to it, you will not walk in the mud.
The only caveat is that the length of the grass must be controlled, otherwise it can quickly grow almost to the knees. Make sure that the greenery does not "encroach" on your beds. To do this, dig the paths below the beds.
3. We clean the sole with devices
This method appeals to me the most. And it consists in the construction of special cleaners! Place a simple structure near the porch and regularly clean the sole of the clods of dirt left after working in the garden.
You can look for the cleaner in the respective stores. Or you can try yourself in the role of "Samodelkin". If you decide to build your own cleaner, consider the following:
- When installing the device on the lawn, take care of collecting loose dirt. I recommend placing a pallet under the cleaner.
- You can put the device at a higher height, then the dirt that has fallen from the sole will not cause inconvenience.
- Equip the device with handles to avoid losing your balance and falling directly onto the lawn during the cleaning process.
- Additional brushes will help to cope with the deep tread of the sole.
- To clean the shoes around the perimeter, you can install brushes on the left and right sides of the structure.
Naturally, I cannot fail to mention the lattice. Stand on it, actively wipe your soles and soon admire the result! The main thing is to regularly remove dirt from under the grate, otherwise after a while it will start looking for a way out.
