Have you ever encountered a problem when you do not know how to paint the stove, fireplace, radiator, barbecue, etc. In general, all those objects that are heated to high temperatures or interact with fire.
As a rule, many go to hardware stores for special paints. Only the prices for them are very expensive. Apparently, the manufacturers of these products think that a person who has a fireplace should have money for heat-resistant paint.
If you paint the fireplace with regular paint, it will quickly fade. Those products that contain drying oil will soon darken, which spoil the appearance of the heater. Therefore, one cannot do without special means. After using them, the fireplace or stove will look like new, and the service life will be significantly increased.
Brick stoves are often found in houses. They look very presentable, and therefore they prefer not to paint them, but only to varnish them. The most common varnish is KO-85, the operating temperature of which reaches 350 degrees.

Method 1
- You need to take tar and ferrous sulfate (in other words, ferrous sulfate). The proportions are as follows: per liter of tar - 60 - 70 grams of iron. Boil the tar (I advise you not to do this indoors). Then add ferrous sulfate to it and mix well. It turned out to be a good varnish. They need to cover the surfaces immediately, until they cool. When processing the oven, it is better to pre-flood and warm it up.
Method 2
- If you have a brick oven, you can use this recipe: Take about 7 egg whites and a glass of milk. Stir the ingredients. Sometimes tooth powder is added to the composition. The resulting paint must be treated with a heated oven.
Method 3
- Metal stoves are often found in baths. It is best to paint them with lime, previously diluted with chalk chips and wood glue. It is necessary to apply the solution in two layers. Just a thick lime that will protect the stove from moisture and prevent the formation of rust will do.
Method 4
- Homemade version of making heat-resistant paint: you need 50 grams of silver and 1 kilogram of liquid glass (the number of components can be varied, but the proportions must be respected).
Before you start painting, you need to mix the solution thoroughly. It dries in literally 15 minutes, it is desirable to apply in two layers. It is recommended to light the stove after painting.
