Moving to a private house, first of all, you think about how to heat it. Having considered all possible options, we decided that heating with solid fuel is not our case. My household and I settled on the fact that the heating should function independently of us. We immediately refused to buy coal and firewood.
Electricity and gas became the priority heating options. At the family council, we opted for the first option. I think many people would choose gas because it is cheaper and more practical. But we still preferred electricity, and here's why.
Centralized heating is a good option, but not for us yet!
Even at the stage of acquiring the land plot, I found out that the central heating main runs not far from our future place of residence. Our street is small - only 7 houses.
Uncle Kolya's neighbor disconnected himself from the centralized heating and preferred to be heated with a pellet boiler. At the same time, he has a rather large house - more 240 squares. But the neighbors living a few houses from us are connected to the boiler room. Their dwelling is smaller than Uncle Kolinoy - only 170 squares. During the winter months they receive receipts for heating payments within 8000 thousand rubles each one. Neighbors note that, despite these fabulous sums, the rooms are not very warm. Therefore, they sometimes use additional heaters. Naturally, electricity consumption increases because of this.
By local standards, we live modestly - only 120 square meters of living space. After making the calculations, we realized that we would have to pay at least 5 thousand rubles for centralized heating in winter. But this was not the decisive factor, because you pay almost the same for electricity.
Here's the thing: order 20% of the city Are private houses. We have about 9 boiler houses, and high-rise buildings are heated by a coal-fired thermal power plant. To equalize tariffs, boiler houses received funds from the city budget.
However, the current year has made certain adjustments, financing of boiler houses has ended. This means that heating tariffs will increase significantly. Since it is not yet known how much will have to be paid each month, we have taken a wait and see attitude. If the situation suits us, we will connect to the boiler room within a few days. Otherwise, we will continue to be heated with electricity.
What did not suit us in gas heating?
Our town, though modest, is gasified. There is a pipe near our house, to which we can connect. The cost of this service will cost about 260 thousand rubles.
I do not argue that the monthly costs for gas heating are slightly less than for heating with electricity. Still, the initial investment is very substantial.
I found out that in our city gas can be supplied to 1,4 thousand households. An impressive figure! In fact, he uses gas no more than 160 houses. Few have a quarter of a million to connect to the yellow pipe.
For comparison, we carried out electricity to the site for 560 rubles, having received 3 phases of 15 kW. According to a neighbor, 11 years ago, the connection sum reached 70 thousand rubles. Thanks to the adopted amendments, we paid only a little more than half a thousand!
I would like to believe that amendments will be adopted someday in the case of gas. After all, the city authorities paid a lot of money for the gas network, and residents simply refuse this benefit, because it is expensive. And without the use of pipes, they can fail.
As the saying goes: wait and see. In the meantime, we warm ourselves with electricity and look forward to better times! Yes and 260 thousand while we are out of stock. ))
