An urgent problem for every owner of a private house or summer cottage is the arrangement of garden paths. As a rule, they are made of everything that "lies badly". What paths have I not happened to meet in my life: from bricks, and from boards, and from tiles, and lined with carpets, and laid out from doors, and simply sandy. Everyone makes them depending on the means, materials and imagination.
When the question of arranging garden paths arose before me, I was a little confused. Naturally, I wanted the tracks to be not only beautiful, but also practical, durable, etc.
Going to the construction market, I was a little upset because I could not find a material that would suit me by all criteria.
True, special forms designed for the arrangement of garden paths were cut into my memory. Cement is simply poured into them, and when the mixture hardens, an imitation of paving slabs is obtained. Cheap and cheerful!
However, I undertook to read reviews about these forms and about the tracks that are obtained with their help. I will say that little good is written about them. Many argue that cement cannot withstand even one winter - it cracks.
Since fear has large eyes, I decided not to risk it. I just ordered ready-made tiles, with which I laid out neat paths. The waste, of course, turned out to be significant. For everything I paid more than 10 thousand rubles.
My friend and neighbor on the site turned out to be more greedy and, as it turned out, thoughtful. He spared money and acquired a couple of forms. Less than a month later, picturesque paths appeared in his garden. I note that he spent a lot less than me.
To be honest, I was waiting for his tracks to start cracking. In addition, I had no doubt that the homemade tile would go “free float” from heavy rain, since it has no reinforcement.
However, three years have passed, during which time we have experienced both a frosty winter and a rainy one. However, the neighbor's tiles remained in place and did not even crack. In order to confirm my words, I captured it.
I have repeatedly regretted that I believed the reviews on the Internet. In fact, it turned out that the tiles are quite durable, and they look very beautiful. The main advantage of such paths is that no grass grows on them, because the tiles are seamless. Next time I will definitely buy the forms!
