Creating paths between the beds is quite troublesome. Not only will you have to spend money, but also show some creativity. To make it easier to find the right option, I have collected in this material several not the most budgetary, but quite practical ideas.

1. Plank paths

In hardware stores, you can find garden paths coiled into a roll. They are made of small planks fastened together with wire. To increase the service life, the tree is impregnated with a solution from decay and harmful insects. To keep the distance between the planks, plastic spacers are threaded onto the wire. The length of one track varies from one and a half to three meters.

The main advantage of such tracks is mobility. Products can always be rolled up and stored in a barn. For those who redevelop their beds every year, this feature will be a real find.

Mobile paths are laid on flat, compacted soil in dry weather. No separate attachment to the ground is required.

2. Concrete pavement

Despite the seeming simplicity, making a good concrete track is not easy. And it's not just that the surface is quite difficult to level. The solution may crack when dry, and the structure itself may deform. To make it comfortable to walk along the path, the frozen surface will have to be sanded. In this case, do not forget about drainage. If the liquid has nowhere to go, the space between the beds will soon turn into a reservoir.

The main enemy of such tracks is unstable, viscous soil. If you do not cover the cracks with fresh mortar in time, the structure will soon begin to crack and crumble. To avoid rapid destruction, the surface should be regularly checked for new damage.

3. Durable plastic tracks

To make the tracks look neat, they can be laid out with special tiles made of durable plastic. Each flooring element consists of two levels. The upper one is made of thin planks so that it is comfortable to walk on the surface. The bottom one is a solid plate that prevents the tiles from sinking into the ground. This design suppresses weed growth and prevents dirt from seeping to the surface. Small drainage holes are made in the plates to remove moisture.

The main disadvantage of such tiles is their rather high cost. However, due to its low weight, the products can be transported by your own car, which will save on delivery.

4. Wood imitation tile

An excellent material for laying out paths between the beds will be paving slabs imitating a tree. There are many wood textures on sale, which allows you to choose a covering for fences or the general style of the site. In addition to its appearance, such a tile has many other advantages. It does not slip after rain, is resistant to falling garden tools, is not afraid of the vagaries of the weather and creates a solid, even surface.

To prevent water stagnation in the space between the beds in wet weather, the tiles should be laid on a compacted layer of sand and gravel. They act as a drainage layer to remove moisture.

5. Concrete elements

Another great option would be beds made of concrete elements. Heavy blocks create a flat surface perfect for work. The design has no expiration date and does not lose its decorative appearance over the years. Due to the fact that the fences are paired with paths, there is never any dirt between the beds. The role of drainage holes is played by joints. After rain, excess moisture through them will gradually seep into the ground.

The main disadvantage of such structures is their high cost.
