I must say right away that our village is small. I would rather call it a cottage village. Almost no one has domestic animals. Maximum, someone contains several chickens. In this case, we are no exception.

We are already accustomed to loud and drawn-out "ku-ka-re-ku" in the morning. It is noteworthy that poultry has a minimal amount of unpleasant odor. It turns out that our chickens do not bother our neighbors, and their chickens do not bother us.

Unfortunately, not only adequate people live in the village. There are unique individuals who organize mini-firms on their sites, have geese, goats, pigs, etc. Moreover, they significantly spoil the life of the nearest neighbors.

So I wondered if there were any rules that determine the location of farmyards. Is there a regulation that allows you to have a certain number of pets?

I managed to find out something.

It turned out that some documents state how far the pigsties or poultry houses should be from the windows of houses where people live. This distance is 15 meters.

In addition, we must not forget that the neighbor's fence must be at least 4 meters away from the farmyard. If we are talking about water sources, then the distance is at least 12 meters.

If all of the above conditions are met, you can think about arranging a mini-farm on the site. However, the number of animals allowed should be considered.

There is no definite answer to this. Although there is a law on personal subsidiary farming, it does not mention the number of livestock.

Then you can turn to the federal law adopted on July 7, 2003. If the noise and smell emanating from the animals disturbs the neighbors, then the owner of the mini-farm will be punished with a fine.
Also, some restrictions are imposed by Rospotrebnadzor. If a complaint comes from citizens, officials cannot ignore it.

In addition, I studied “Land type classifier». This document clearly states: what can be done and what is strictly prohibited.

If the site is intended for individual housing construction, then it cannot be used to make a barnyard. If the number of pigs on a mini-farm exceeds 50, then the sanitary zone must be at least 50 meters.

Obviously, there are a lot of uncertainties and nuances in this matter. I would not recommend farming in a cottage village, as the anger of neighbors can be enormous.

If one of your neighbors decided to organize a barnyard on their site, you can safely write a complaint about him.
