The plus is that the recipe is very basic and affordable. I want to tell you what ingredients can be used to make a good penetrating lubricant.
First, you need to clearly understand what the WD-40 is. The main purpose of this grease is to get the oil into the "heart" of the compound, soaking the rust in it. A similar function is performed by kerosene, which has a high degree of permeability. However, we will take White Spirit.
In addition, to create a budget lubricant, we need machine oil. I took advantage of transmission TM - 5, however, I think that the brand is not important.
So, you need to measure out 100 milliliters of White Spirit. The amount is purely experimental, if you need more lubricant, use a larger volume of components. The main thing is to keep the proportion.
Then I measured out 25 milliliters of lube.Those. proportion 4: 1.
Pour both components into a suitable container and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous liquid is obtained.
The budget grease is ready! Try to use it at least once, and you will understand that it is in no way inferior to the famous WD-40. And if there is no difference, then why pay more ?!
