We replace cement with ash. We get a super strong, refractory solution. Ingredients and proportions.

In modern times, many manufacturers of building materials are trying to produce cheap analogs, which would not be inferior in quality to those or other materials. Engineers at Rice University in America have recently been able to develop a viable alternative to cement used in concrete.

You can replace cement with ash, which is characterized by a fairly good hydraulic activity. This mixture is heat-resistant, its service life is calculated in years. In addition, the use of ash significantly saves material resources spent on repairs. This material is used as a filler. Ash improves the structure of the concrete and is also environmentally friendly.

The solution is used to make ash bricks. Ash contains calcium oxide, which has good cementitious properties. The mixture is stronger. For example, if a brick is laid with its help, then it will be almost impossible to disassemble the brickwork in the future.

This proves once again that good old technologies are sometimes more reliable than modern ones. Thanks to them, the budget is saved and the work is done more efficiently.

The process of making cement mortar from ordinary ash

Cement made from ash is better than Portland cement in quality and characteristics. You can even make such a mixture at home, since there are no complex components in it.

The ash solution will quickly harden and adhere firmly to the required surface.

The ingredient list is as follows:

  • Six liters of ash (it is advisable to take wood ash, but coal is also quite suitable);
  • · Slaked lime of liquid consistency - from 3 to 5 liters;
  • · A kilogram of common salt.

First you need to sift the ash to remove large debris. Lime should also be passed through a sieve. Combine salt and ash, mix the components well. By the way, any salt is suitable: both coarse and fine.

When performing work, do not forget about gloves. Pour lime into a bowl where we poured salt and ash. This should be done gradually, until a solution is obtained that resembles cement in density.

The ready-made mortar is suitable for plastering, laying tiles. They can also cover up cracks in fireplaces, stoves or tandoor. At what it is done on hot ovens, which increases the efficiency of the work performed.

Another option for using an ash solution is to seal the gaps. To reduce shrinkage, add a little fine sand to the mixture.
