First expenses

After creating the plan, it was decided to build a bath with an area of 3.6 * 2.4 meters, with a wall height of under 2 meters. When we first went to the store, we bought the following consumables:

2 beams for the first row (10 * 15 * 600 cm);

30 bars for a box (5 * 15 * 600 cm);

10 boards for the ceiling (2 * 15 * 600 cm).

The standard cost of timber and planks is 7800 - 8400 per cubic meter. The purchase cost us 15600 rubles + 1500 we paid for delivery. The following expenses were devoted to the purchase of insulation. For the floor and doors, materials were taken from building scraps, which already accumulated a sufficient amount in the country.

Foundation laying + 1st row of timber

All sorts of pieces of iron and bricks that we found in the storerooms played the role of the foundation. After the structure sits down, it will need to be concreted and brick debris added. The following steps are in this order:

1. purchased beams (10 * 15 * 600 cm) are sawn into fragments - 240 and 360 cm;

2. the bottom row is set in level on pillars of bricks, iron gears and plates;

3. at the ends of the beams, markings are made with pencils for notching (10 cm long and 7.5 cm high);

4. cutting is carried out to connect the elements in the corners (only for the bottom row);

5. a vertical cut is made with the help of a chainsaw, and horizontally knocked down with an ax;

6. a thin drill makes holes for nails.

Assembling the box

The box is assembled as follows:

1. the second row of timber is installed (5 * 15 * 600 cm): the 6-meter element fits into the design position (on the long part of the building);

2. 360 centimeters are measured, then saw cut;

3. the cut off part (which turned out to be a little more than 240 cm) fits onto the next side, the end is cut off immediately;

4. frames are fastened so that the connections do not interfere with shrinkage (for fastening, wires 5 * 80 mm are taken).

When one beam is laid on the second in the design position, a vertical line turns along them from the side of the facade. Then the upper bar is turned over and 25 millimeters from the edges to the middle are measured on two bars. Holes with a diameter of 4 cm are drilled at the indicated points.

Sections of wire are inserted into them, warming tow is laid out. At the end, the top bar is returned to its place and pushed onto the wire.

Stove and chimney

The foundation for the stove has an area of 80 * 80 * 20 cm. It has three components:

  • three buckets of sand;
  • a bucket of cement;
  • half a bucket of water.

Cement and sand are placed in a metal bath and mixed, then water is added. The substance is mixed until smooth. A 50 kg bag of cement cost us 540 rubles. Sand cost 75 rubles per bag. The foundation was assembled like this:

1. formwork is made from the boards (placed at a distance of 3 centimeters from the walls);

2. two buckets of gravel are poured into the formwork;

3. the second layer is the solution, then another bucket of gravel is sprinkled;

4. at the end of the layered structure, the solution is poured.

To protect the roof from rain and high temperatures, we used metal sheets. One of these sheets was installed where the chimney was inserted.

Finishing

As a cladding, we settled on lining - the most economical and practical option. The area of the exterior finish was 35m2 (calculated with a margin). The lining was taken third-rate - at 115 rubles per square meter.

The highest grade cost about 1400 rubles and was beyond our means. As for the interior decoration - shelves, benches, doors and a porch were created from scrap materials.
