Corner baths have replaced "square" ones and have become an excellent solution for those summer residents who do not have enough square meters to build a steam room. Such buildings imply a new approach to the planning and operation of free space.

Projects

The choice of a corner bath project is made based on the type of soil and the goals of the site owner. Corner baths are divided into three types:

  • combined. Combining bath and living rooms on the same floor or on different ones. Living rooms in baths are equipped as guest rooms or lounges;
  • with a terrace. The terrace is used to accommodate tables, chairs, a pool, children's toys and other supplies;
  • with barbecue. It is a type of bath with a terrace, which is designed specifically for outdoor cooking. The difference between such a terrace lies in its compliance with fire safety rules.

When building a two-story bath, it is necessary to strengthen the foundation and walls during construction. Otherwise, the building cannot support its own weight.

Baths with a 2nd floor are built with or without an attic. The attic can be located above one wing of the bathhouse or above the entire 1st floor. The advantage of the attic is that it is more economical than building a full-fledged top floor.

Materials

For construction, we will fit a standard set of materials:

  • logs and timber;
  • brick;
  • aerated concrete blocks.

Wood is suitable for budget projects - it has the lowest price on the market. The advantage of a log house over a bar is that it does not need additional processing. The only thing that is required for the tree is treatment with an antibacterial and fire retardant (anti-fire) composition.

The next in cost is aerated concrete. It is distinguished by its versatility - the blocks coexist on problem ground due to their light weight. Other advantages of the material include resistance to fire and microorganisms. When installing aerated concrete, the focus is on waterproofing.

Brick baths are considered the most expensive. The high price is justified by reliable protection against fire and withstanding high mechanical loads. This quality is useful in those cases when the building is located on soft or moving ground. A brick bath requires a reinforced foundation.

The advantages of a corner bath

Summer residents regularly prefer corner baths for several main reasons:

  • saving space: limited land plots require finding practical solutions. We need baths that take up a minimum of space and provide maximum functionality. The construction of a corner bath liberates part of the territory;
  • universal option: corner baths are ideal for areas that have a non-standard shape or have "foreign" objects. The corner format allows you to bypass trees, electric poles, ravines, etc .;
  • combination of rooms: the corner structure is often used to combine bath and living quarters. A separate entrance for each of the premises makes the building convenient and multifunctional.
Due to the attic in the corner bath, it is easy to create a full-fledged room. Its use provides for different options - a study, a guest room, a rest room, etc.
