Folk ways that saved me from ants on the site, not to mention the fact that I already forgot what aphids are

Ants are small insects that cause great harm to the garden and vegetable garden. In addition to eating the roots and foliage of young plants, these "hardworking pests" spread aphids around the area - deadly for many crops.

You can, of course, use chemistry to kill ants, but I prefer proven folk remedies that work no less effectively. I want to note that after I got rid of the ants, now I don't even know what aphids are on my plants.

Which of these methods helped you? Write in the comments.

Boric acid

1 tbsp. I mix a spoonful of boric acid with 1 tbsp. spoon of powdered sugar and pour boiling water. Stir again until thick sour cream. I put this "delicacy" in the lid of the jar and put it by the anthill early in the morning. This will be the last ant breakfast ...

On a note! You can simply add boric acid to liquid honey and mix thoroughly.

Semolina

An even easier way. Spread ordinary dry semolina in the ants' habitat.

Insects will eat it with appetite, and then it will swell inside them. A lethal outcome in such a process is also inevitable.

Celandine

Attentive gardeners notice that where celandine grows, there are no pests. I brew a bunch of this "clean" plant in a bucket of water, leave for several hours and spray the anthill.

Ammonia

This drug should be mixed with a solution of laundry soap and sprayed on the ant's dwelling. This method will not only save you from insects, but also perfectly fertilize the soil.

Boiling water

If the anthill is in the ground, it is quite easy to detect it by the characteristic holes. And when the "enemy's location" is declassified, it is enough to pour boiling water over it, and sprinkle it with soda on top for the reliability of the result.

Herring

This method was shared by an old neighbor. She buries waste in the anthill... salted herring - head and offal. It turns out that ants hate the smell of fish. Of course, they will not die from this remedy, but they will leave the "leper" place far and for a long time.

Honestly, I myself have not tried this method yet, because I am in solidarity with ants in my dislike of herring. But if you are fans of "salty" - experiment!

Tip: For prevention

If there are no ants on your site yet, you need to prevent their possible appearance (what if a neighbor bury a herring head in his anthill?). To do this, it is necessary to plant plants with a pungent smell on the site: marigolds, anise, lemon balm and other spices. You feel good, healthy and fragrant, for ants it is disgusting and vitally incompatible!
