If almost every gardener can grow potatoes on his site, then harvesting a rich eggplant crop is "aerobatics". A whimsical culture requires increased attention from "birth" to cut.
When choosing varieties of eggplant, two main indicators are decisive:
- Fruit size (the bigger the better).
- Taste qualities (no bitterness).
During my many years of gardening experience, I have tried many varieties and growing methods. Some eggplants made me happy with their tall bushes, but disappointed with their small and tasteless fruits. The latter, it seems, were large, but did not live to mature, succumbing to diseases and the "neighbor's evil eye".
In the end, I decided for myself four varietiesthat combine and high yieldand excellent taste.
Long-fruited
The name speaks for itself - high yielding early variety with large, long fruits of a glossy dark purple color, growing with good care up to 23 cm in length.
Snow-white pulp absolutely not bitter. The variety has a long fruiting period and disease resistance.
Purple Miracle
For experienced gardeners, I'm sure this is not a discovery. Early ripe variety quite common. But whoever has not planted it yet - I highly recommend it.
A very beautiful cylindrical vegetable of a rich dark purple color fully justifies its name. It can be grown both in greenhouses and in the open field.
Fruit up to 350 grams Not only contains absolutely no bitterness, and due to its density it is stored for a rather long time.
General's
If, in addition to the practical result, the aesthetic appearance of the vegetable beds is important for you, be sure to plant this amazing medium early stress-resistant variety.
The perfect spherical shape combined with a rich dark purple color - and all this whole 600 grams! Very convenient for stuffing and decorating any festive (even general) table!
Solaris
Early ripe hybrid - from sowing to ripening - 110-120 days. Bred by breeders for growing in harsh Siberian conditions.
Fruits with a white dense mass of up to 400 grams, do not taste bitter and do not have thorns on the calyx. Do you want to grow a rich crop of Solaris (up to 6 kg. per square meter) - plant it where carrots, legumes, or pumpkins grew last year.
