Carpets, we got rid of them long ago, almost all of them. According to my wife and mine, only dust collects in them, and there is no other benefit from them. But the wife's grandmother, and by the way, she recently turned 99, cannot part with her favorite carpet.
But age must be respected, and so and so for sure, so her carpet was never touched. As he lay in her room, he still lies.
An old habit, but in winter they definitely took the carpet outside and knocked out all the dirt and dust that had accumulated from the moment of the previous cleaning.
But, I do not know about you, where my dear readers live, but near my house, it seems we did it alone, the carpet was cleaned, I mean, and somehow it seems inconvenient, like white crows.
Therefore, the wife began to look for ways to clean the carpet without taking it out of the house to the street and without knocking it out.
And I found it.
How good it is, we wanted to experiment, and for one thing and clean the carpet for grandmother. After all, they haven't touched him since last winter.
And the cleaning method is very simple:
We need:
- Vinegar essence;
- Baking soda;
- Dishwashing liquid;
- A basin of warm water;
- Sprayer.
Cleaning process:
First, let's prepare the mixture. Take a bowl, pour half a liter of warm water into it, add 1 tablespoon of baking soda, 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid and 2 tablespoons of vinegar essence to it.
We stir all this well, we see what a stormy process of foam formation we have gone.
Then we will need to wait until it stops foaming and the foam subsides, after which we pour the solution into a spray bottle. Observe safety measures, wear gloves.
Then we spray our entire carpet with our solution from a spray bottle.
After we have done this procedure, let the carpet stay in this state for 2-3 minutes. Then we take a bowl of water and, after wetting the sponge, we wipe our carpet.
By the color of the water we can see how dirty it was at my grandmother's.
Then, without letting the carpet dry, it will need to be vacuumed.
Having done all these procedures, my wife and I came to the conclusion that the experiment was a success. It became very clean, dust-free, and a fresh smell appeared.
