The topic of fencing your site with inexpensive fences is very relevant, and in this article I would like to describe the options beautiful, economical and, which is very important, available for erection with your own hands, fences from scrap materials. After all, branches, twigs and sticks can be found in any forest, and you can buy a croaker, especially since such fences require very little of it.
Why did I decide to write an article on this topic? I myself love wood, it always looks original, wooden elements decorate the site, it is comfortable next to it, moreover, wood is easy to process.
To fasten the elements of such fences, in some cases, of course, you need both nails and self-tapping screws (including secret ones), here you just need to rely on the skill and experience of working with the wood of the owner himself.
Fences and fences made of such material perfectly cope with the main purpose, with the protection of your property from animals and people. I do not deny that a wooden structure requires regular maintenance, but there are many professional impregnations that will delay maintenance up to 4-5 years.
So, the first category is a wicker fence.
There are a lot of weaving varieties. It is carried out both with the use of thin branches without leaves (twigs), and with planks. Weaving can be both vertical and horizontal, single rods or bundles. To give flexibility, in most cases, the branches are soaked for 1 hour. in warm water or steamed for 2-3 hours.

The fence is made in sections of 1.5-2 meters each. Further, they are already joined in length and tied together.

The second category is boardwalk fence
Since in this article we are considering budget fences, in the following photos of fences, a cheap board is used - "slab", peeled from bark.

The third category - fences made of cut logs
Such fences are made from thin sections sewn onto a pre-prepared frame or from thickened elements of the logs placed on top of each other.
Slices up to 7-10 cm thick. fastened to the frame from the back side so that the screw caps are not on the front side of the fence.
If the cuts are more than 10 cm thick, they are placed in wire mesh boxes (gabions) or laid on dry between the supports.
In order for the structure to withstand wind loads well, the sections are strengthened by splitting. Between the large elements, smaller sections of young wood trunks are hammered.
In general, wood fences are designed without any special tricks and as far as homeowners have imagination. Wood always looks amazing. The main thing is the processing of wood from rotting and mold, and also importantly - good ventilation!
