Good afternoon, dear guests and subscribers of the "Build for Myself" channel!

Often you can see houses with a basement made of concrete, foundation blocks or bricks. No, this is not a bad thing, and the whole point is that at the end of the construction of the house, you still need to invest in the facing material. And as a rule, the cladding is done with a thin stone or tile, which, if the master does not try, often moves away from the base due to the fact that the base is one of the most vulnerable places in the structure houses.

The plinth is subject to temperature extremes and repeated freeze / thaw cycles, as it gets wet each time rains and melting snow, in addition - this structure is located on the border with the earth's cover, from where it pulls all the same dampness.

Why do builders constantly recommend that the owners make a rough basement? Perhaps it's just faster and on hand to start building the box as soon as possible (the faster it is completed, the faster the money is received).

In this article, I propose several options for stone plinths, which will subsequently not be destroyed either by rain or cold.

While building a house for myself, I thought, why not lay it out of stone right away? Below in the photo is masonry. The front side is made of stone, from the inside - reinforcement is made and concrete is poured.

I have a series of articles on my channel in detail about stone laying, one of which: "Plinth. Rubble stone and concrete"

In addition to this option, you can find a full-fledged stone masonry for the basement part, that is, this masonry is already performed without the use of concrete, all on a masonry cement-sand mortar:

Next, laying the stone:

The thing is that the stone exceeds the strength of both brick and concrete several times, if the bricks are produced by the M100 brand, M150, M200, and concretes from M100 to M500 (the higher, the prices cannot be added), then natural rubble stone has a brand from M800 and higher. The brand strength of the stone from which I laid the base according to the documents literally "not lower than М1000".

Also, there are works of famous masters:

As you can see, there are a lot of options, as well as quarries that extract various rocks. It is better to overpay a little, but make a reliable structure, and not glue the tiles every year or two.

The price I paid for Kamaz rubble stone (11 tons) with delivery is 14,000 rubles. He did the masonry with his own hands for the first time when he worked with a stone. I think that even paying 30 or 40 tr is a meager cost compared to the cost of the whole house.

P.S.

I liked the masonry so much that at the moment I am making a stone porch about which one of the following articles will definitely be written:

That's all, thank you for your attention and I hope that you liked the article and made you think ...
