7th grade: Multiplying the planned number by 3, you get a number by the number of days in a year more than half of the planned

Good afternoon, dear guests and subscribers of my channel!

At the beginning of the week, at school, my daughter had an All-Russian Testing Work (VPR) in mathematics. What is VLOOKUP? This is a common test, but on a large scale, where all tasks are standardized and allow you to check the general level of students in a particular subject.

These checks appeared relatively recently, about 5 years ago. They are held almost at the same time throughout the country and my children have already caught them.

Now, as the class teacher at the school where my daughter is studying says, such works help not only assess the level of the student, but also evaluate the effectiveness of teaching before the local authorities and the Ministry of Education of our Rostov region, therefore a lot of time. These are not their own methods or local developments of individual schools, as it was before, but a single assessment methodology for all schools in Russia.

In fact, the problems and examples that are given in tests in mathematics and geometry are beyond the power of even many adults. Checked from personal experience :-)))

It is not always possible to fit with the solution in the allotted period of time.

VLOOKUP was passed by the child, there were mistakes and clerical errors due to nervousness before the test... Well, this is as usual, everyone has ...

So, after this work, my daughter asked me if I could solve an interesting problem, which in reality, after the first reading of the condition, is a little confusing:

The condition is very nicely twisted: "Multiplying the planned number by 3, you get a number that is more than half of the planned number by the number of days in a year. Find this number. "

It seems that a dozen people worked painstakingly to confuse the student.

The main problem comes down to the correct construction of the equation. From the condition, from the first reading of it, it is completely unclear how to construct equality correctly and you have to read literally every word.

In fact, I am interested in similar problems, I solved this one in 10-15 minutes, and also sorted out all the difficulties and unclear moments from the condition with my daughter.

In this article, I will not describe the solution, I think you yourself will be interested in finding the conceived number from the problem for the 7th grade :-)))

P.S.

If you like math and math humor, find a mistake in the solution of a bad student :-))) Whoever does not find, he is also a bad student (just kidding) ...

I wish you good luck and all the best!
