Good afternoon, dear guests and subscribers of the "Build for myself" channel!

I don't really like to do reviews on products from Traffic Lights, Leroy, FixPrice, IKEA and other stores, since such articles are regarded by the reader as advertising, even if they do not carry any advertising goals.

This review of the Swedish siphon also has no commercial purposes and the only thing that prompted me to write this article, this is a really rich functionality of this product, which in fact will be useful in almost any kitchen.

So, the "Ikeevsky" siphon, like all the others, is a water seal system that prevents odors from entering the room from the sewer. This siphon is called (so as not to break the tongue) LILLVIKEN and for a double sink it looks like this:

All pipes are made of high quality polypropylene, gaskets are made of synthetic rubber. IKEA gives a guarantee for the entire structure - 25 years. Leaked / broken / cracked - change without problems.

The design is made on oil seals. Everything moves out, turns, moves in, is adjustable. The system is flexible and can be adjusted to any size of sinks, but it doesn't matter, even if it doesn't fit somewhere. You can return it back within 365 days. Good service.

Functionality

The kitchen is the place in the house where the sewer is most often clogged. For quick cleaning, IKEA has provided just such a yellow plug at the end of the product:

It turns away with a quarter turn movement, the main thing is to have time to substitute the container. There is no need to unscrew anything, as in our good siphons, here it is easier.

The second is that the design involves connecting the sewer from both the washing machine and the dishwasher.

There is no need to separately make tees in the sewer pipes, but it is enough to cut off the plug:

The third and last very worthy advantage over our products is the free space under the sink. The system is depth-adjustable and can be transformed so that another drawer can be easily placed directly under the sink:

The height of the outlet from the bottom of the sink is only 8 cm, and the depth of the drawer, which can be made under the sink, is about 40 cm. One more storage space is added in quick accessibility.

For comparison, our siphons:

Price

The price bites a little - such a siphon costs 1100 rubles, for a double one - 1900 rubles.

Conclusion

In fact, the difference with consumer water traps is significant (4 times more), but the functionality of the product is also worthy of attention. In addition, the warranty is 25 years! This siphon can be exchanged without surcharge at any time upon failure, and by purchasing a water seal on the market, no one will provide such a service.

I hope this article was helpful to you.

Thanks for attention!
