As I wrote in previous articles, I am building a house and, if possible, rely on myself and on my own hands, but due to circumstances - voluminous work that takes a lot of time and without an assistant is beyond my power, I have to trust the builders, as I myself working.
So, the only thing I had to entrust to the craftsmen was laying the box at home, plaster and screed. At the other stages, I worked on my own, or if I needed help, for example, to lift a sheet of metal tile to the roof or install floor beams, then my younger brother helped me.
I don’t know how the rest of them have relations with the attracted guys from the near abroad - I might have been lucky, and this is what I liked:
Despite the cheap and geometrically crooked brick, the semi-antique masonry is done as I had planned. Of course, like everyone else - there are flaws - but we are not robots!
The second thing to note is accuracy. Believe it or not, during the entire laying period, I bought them 2 shovels and only 3 plastic black buckets of 60 rubles each. - two buckets for gray masonry mortar, one for white - and they are all still alive, usually such things are consumables! Every evening - the buckets were washed to their original state.
Masters work under the slogan "I will do more - I will earn more!" A working day with a minimum number of smoke breaks from 6-00 to 20-00. And this for a minute: a 14-hour working day! Sometimes I even kicked them out of the construction site, because I got tired of finding them, and even more of their language!
Not spoiled is a fact. Inside the house there is a vault in the load-bearing wall. For the construction I circled from plywood and for the laying of the arch - not a penny was additionally taken from me.
Further, the corners above the doorways are painted against corrosion with primer enamel in 2 layers - for free! From conversations I know that other craftsmen do it for an additional fee in the region - 100-200 rubles. per running meter.
And of course the price, the cost of bricklaying in 2018. it came out to me at 7 rubles / piece. round (face + backing) and block laying 25 rubles / piece. In total, the laying of the house cost 174,000 rubles. - and this is sooo inexpensive!
Of course, apart from the advantages, there are also disadvantages, but compared to the advantages, I closed my eyes to them, so: the first and most important is the misconception and understanding of most of the elementary questions in construction. For some reason, some kind of logical switch in their head does not work for them, that the supporting element must comply with any standards and there is a craving to do something dude, although they will prove in full confidence that it is so right, and the saddest thing is that they are in it sure.
If you are a beginner, then these guys will make up in full. Every morning I set a specific task for the day, not only to them, but also to my wife, I explained what to control - in the evening it was already a check with me, sometimes I came home for lunch.
If something is wrong, they redid some of the incorrectly performed work, thus taught that at the beginning of a new stage - a mandatory call!
I will also note that none of them can read projects, so if we know the construction industry, we stand "above soul "if not, it is better to hire a foreman, which in the end will be cheaper than redoing something again.
And the second significant minus is a misunderstanding of the language: "granny, shabulme" - and nifiga it is not clear what they want to say! For a few days, of course, I got used to it, they spoke in crooked Russian, but elements of gestures and emotional reactions slipped through!
Even in spite of all these drawbacks, at the end of the construction, I threw them for a human approach to business.
That's, in principle, all that I had to face - basically, it was not strained to work with them, although again, I repeat, this is the first time - maybe I was lucky!
