I did all the electrics in the house myself and, on the advice of an electrician, installed a Master Off switch in the house at the entrance to the electrical panel. You probably already guessed that the master switch allows you to de-energize the entire house or the entire apartment from one button while in the corridor, and in most cases it is done as follows: connect through the switch all electrical points with the exception of the necessary outlets: refrigerator, heating boiler and security equipment (alarm, video surveillance).
Done! Now, when you leave the house, you just need to click on the switch and get the bad thoughts out of your head. Agree that it is very convenient!

The switch is a contactor, which can be either single or three-phase. A contactor is a device that disconnects the load upon a signal and can easily be installed in your electrical panel.
Many leading manufacturers have similar equipment, but not all have on-board controls. The best choice would be to purchase a contactor with a key, it is a little more convenient, but overpay 400-500 rubles more.
When choosing a device, you need to take the rated operating current as a basis and be sure to know which of the electrical appliances will be on this branch.
