When the price is in dollars, your bank performs the conversion (Ali requests payment in dollars), but if you set the price in rubles, Aliexpress itself will convert the currency.
Here's a great new oscilloscope, for example. FNIRSI-1C15. With a seller's coupon in the manufacturer's official store, it costs $ 60.
If you pay $ 60 now, for example with a Rocketbank card, this price will be converted at the wild rate of 78.57 and the purchase will cost 4,714 rubles. For other banks, the rate is generally unknown - the operation will be carried out only in 1-2 days, and even the Central Bank does not know what rate will be tomorrow.
If you switch Aliexpress to rubles, the purchase will cost almost 500 rubles less - 4220.71 rubles.
Until the situation with the exchange rate has stabilized, it is better to look at each purchase how best to pay in rubles or dollars.
