Fraudsters began to massively place ads on Facebook for clone sites that steal money. Tatyana Popova wanted to order pizza, but lost 30,000 rubles. The circuit is original again.

Facebook advertises pizza with a 50% discount. The site address is different from the original, but many companies often create separate promo sites, so a different site name is not always a sign that they are scammers.

Tatiana chose pizza and entered the card details on the payment page. She immediately received an SMS with a confirmation code indicating exactly the amount for which she made the order. She entered the code on the site, but the site reported that the code was incorrect and sent another code. The victim did not pay attention to the fact that the amount in the SMS changed by 30,000 rubles and entered a repeated code. Thirty thousand rubles were immediately withdrawn from the card. And then they tried to withdraw another 30,000 rubles, but the bank blocked the card.

The cunning social engineering of fraudsters in this case is based on the fact that many people trust advertising on social networks, and also on the fact that having received one SMS code, a person inattentively reads the second SMS, thinking that he really made a mistake when in water.

There are many advertisements for scam pizza on Facebook. Note that all four fraudulent sites have different URLs.

Due to the fact that delivery services have become popular recently, scammers have created a huge number of clone sites. It is known that they cloned the sites Delivery Club, Sbermarket, Yandex. Food, Platypus, VkusVill, Crossroads, Citylink.

When buying anything on the Internet, follow these simple rules:

1. Look at the address of the payment page. This should be your bank address.
2. Carefully read the text in each confirmation SMS.
3. Use a separate debit card for online payments (a virtual one is perfect) with a small amount on it.
