Every time I had to send parcels, the most difficult and unpleasant thing in this procedure was to write the addresses (recipient and return) by hand on a box, package or in a letterhead. It turns out that now all this is unnecessary.

Of course, you can send a parcel and "the old fashioned way" by bringing it to the post office and filling out the forms there, but this is not our method. To send a parcel, first go to https://pochta.ru and click "Send parcel" there.

We indicate the cities of sending and receiving, the weight of the parcel (yes, for a simple parcel sending you need to have scales at home - kitchen scales will do). The site immediately shows the cost of sending in different ways.

You can select additional options and watch how the price changes below.

From the two design options "Out of line" and "Fast", select the second and press the blue "Checkout" button.

Next, you will need to log in to the site, indicate the exact address and, preferably, the recipient's phone number, your address and telephone number (telephone numbers are not required, but useful if the address is not accurate or the package will return). After that, the site generates a track code, which also appears in the application.

And then you just carry the parcel to the post office (you don't need to write anything on it), give it to the operator and show a barcode in the Russian Post application on a smartphone so that the operator can scan it or say the received one track code. The operator prints a form with addresses, sticks it on the parcel and takes from you exactly as much as the site showed (unless you made a mistake when weighing). You can pay by card, the whole process of sending the parcel takes less than a minute.

Yesterday I sent two parcels for the first time using this new method and was impressed - from some terrible hassle, sending a parcel turned into a simple procedure.
