Another reason why ventilation is needed in the city. This is the filter of my homemade ventilation unit (https://ammo1.livejournal.com/1023738.html) after six months of operation.
If you think that the filter is gray and dust has gotten into it, I will upset you - the filter was white. On the right in the photo is exactly the same new filter.
When I installed the filter, I wrote the installation date on it and now I know for sure that the filter worked for six months.
I see that half a year is a lot and it is necessary to change the filters at least once every three months.
If you use open windows or vents for ventilation, all this dirt will get into the apartment and into the lungs of people.
Unfortunately, I still have not been able to achieve a complete refusal to open the windows - sometimes the air from the supply is still not enough, or its noise interferes. I am thinking about the third version of the ventilation unit. Either it will be a new, quieter fan and silencer after it, or I will make two independent installations for two rooms.
