Battery testing reaches a new level: Yarostanmash analyzer

  • Dec 11, 2020

Today Yaroslav Menshikov, the creator of the most advanced device for testing batteries and accumulators, came to visit me.
He also did a big new AA battery test.

Analyzer of chemical power sources ASK2.5.10.8. works simultaneously with eight batteries or accumulators, and each of the eight channels is absolutely independent (the channels even have separate power supplies from the network). You can simultaneously charge batteries on some channels, discharge them on others, and test batteries on the third.

The analyzer provides charging and discharging currents from 2.5 μA to 2.5A on a single channel and up to 20A when channelized.

One of the main advantages of the analyzer is the possibility of autonomous operation. The test parameters are set from the computer, and then the analyzer works by itself, storing the results in the internal memory, which are then automatically transferred to the computer.

It is possible to carry out long-term complex tests (for example, charge and recharge the battery a thousand times with pauses for "rest" to find out how many cycles it lasts).

The analyzer has a lot of possibilities, if you are interested, watch the video.

A week ago, Yaroslav finished the AA battery test, in which he tested 40 models of AA batteries in two modes.

AAA and D batteries are currently being tested.

I am planning to use the Yarostanmash analyzer in order to make tests of various types of batteries that no one has really tested yet. In the near future, we plan to compare the popular LR44 coin cell batteries with Aliexpress with expensive batteries, sold in Russia, then also compare the lithium CR2032, and then test other tests batteries.

P.S. By popular demand, I have already tested all the famous brands of Kron batteries and will publish the results soon.

P.P.S. I’m thinking, maybe we could make a website on the Lamptest engine with the results of tests of batteries and accumulators of different types. Do you think this is necessary or are there enough articles with results?

The main topic of my blog is technology in human life. I write reviews, share experiences, talk about all sorts of interesting things. My second project -
lamptest.ru. I test LED bulbs and help figure out which ones are good and which are not so good.
