For two years I paid for the apartment and electricity through the service https://payment.mts.ru by "Cashback" card bank Vostochny and received 5% cashback on the card plus 1% cashback from the service for each payment (https://ammo1.livejournal.com/993879.html). Unfortunately, starting this week, MTS Pay started asking for a 2% commission.
The commission is now charged when paying with any bank cards. No commission, only payment from the balance of the MTS phone and from the internal wallet.
The internal wallet can be replenished with any bank card, but this will be a money transfer operation and if the card is a credit card, you can get a large commission of the bank that issued the card. For any payment, the amount on the internal MTS Pay wallet for some reason must be 10 rubles more than the payment amount.
If you do not have a card with a cashback for housing and communal services (MCC 4900), you can continue to use MTS Pay by transferring money to an internal wallet from a debit card and receive 1% cashback for non-MTS services.
For those who have a card with cashback for housing and communal services, now there is only one option - to pay through the payment service of Tinkoff bank, it does not matter whether you are a client of this bank.
We go to the address https://www.tinkoff.ru/payments/categories/kommunalnie-platezhi/.
We go, for example, to pay for housing and communal services in Moscow, enter the personal account number and the mobile phone number, which will receive an SMS confirmation.
Tinkoff does not allow paying an arbitrary amount for an apartment, he himself looks for the last bill and offers to pay it.
On the next screen, you can enable payment with insurance. There you also need to indicate the details of the card of any bank with which the payment will be made.
The MCC of the payment for the apartment and electricity will be 4900, so if the card gives a cashback using this code, it will be received.
Perhaps there are other ways to pay utility bills without a commission with cashback, but I don't know about them yet. If you know - share.
