This multicomponent cabbage dish is prepared in every family. I cook cabbage soup with one secret that my grandmother revealed to me.

Choose any meat for the broth according to your taste, but the most delicious cabbage soup, in my opinion, comes from beef. If you take chicken, then homemade is better.

Ingredients for a 3L pot:

Broth meat (beef or pork) - 500 gr

Potatoes - 4 pcs.

Cabbage - 300 gr

Bow - 1 pc.

· Carrots - 1 pc.

· Tomato - 1 pc.

Tomato paste - 3 tbsp

Garlic - 2 cloves

Salt and spices to taste

Greens to taste

Butter - 50 gr

Once I cooked cabbage soup from sauerkraut - I will tell you that this is an incredibly tasty dish! When in Russia they began to cook this rare meat dish, they often added not fresh cabbage, but sauerkraut.

There are many recipes for this dish (with mushrooms, sprat in tomato and even sturgeon) and it is traditionally served with sour cream or cream.

Recipe:

1. Boil the meat with spices until tender.

2. It is best to cut the potatoes into cubes - this is the best choice for borscht. After the meat is ready, throw the potatoes into the broth and wait until it boils.

3. In butter, fry the onions, carrots (finely chopped), as well as grated garlic and chopped tomatoes (you can drink fruit juice). I also add tomato paste (a couple of tablespoons). After frying, the vegetables need to be stewed a little (5 minutes).

4. When the potatoes begin to boil, add the shredded cabbage and cook until it becomes soft.

5. At the very end, add herbs and squeeze out the garlic. And one secret is a tablespoon of butter.

It is also very important that the cabbage soup is infused, so leave them for 20 minutes. If you add sauerkraut, then you just need to bring it to a boil and do not cook for a long time.

When adding tomatoes, scald them with boiling water to remove the skin. I like to use homemade fruit drink, but then it is better to add a little sugar to the sauce so that the cabbage soup is not sour.
