How to make garlic powder at home. I share my way

I know that many housewives use garlic powder in the process of preparing their culinary masterpieces. I myself bought this supplement a couple of times in the store, because I really wanted to test it in practice.

The pleasant aroma and taste of chopped garlic pleased me very much, therefore I was eager to make such a powder with my own hands, without any manufacturing additives. So, I offer you a rather interesting method of drying garlic in the oven, after which it easily turns into a real garlic powder. Go!

In order to make about half a glass of the seasoning, we need three large heads of garlic. First of all, they must be divided into teeth and peeled off. Then each clove needs to be cut into thin plates, since in this form it will be easier to dry it.

Now put the garlic "petals" on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, and heat the oven to 50 degrees.

As soon as it warms up to the desired temperature, put a baking sheet with garlic in it for 10 minutes, then turn off the "fire", but do not take out the garlic - let it lie in it for another 45 minutes.

After a lapse of time, the oven should be turned on again and the previously described procedure should be repeated a couple more times. Focus on the condition of the garlic - as soon as it begins to crumble easily in your hands, then it's time to pull out the baking sheet.

When the garlic has cooled slightly, grind it in a coffee grinder or any other method. Already in the process, the kitchen will be filled with a wonderful garlic aroma, and you will understand that the efforts were well spent. If desired, the resulting powder can be sieved, but I usually do not do this - if I try, then the seasoning, and so, turns out to be as small and uniform as possible.

It is good to store such a powder in an ordinary glass jar with a lid, which should be allocated a place somewhere in the dark.
