Greetings to all metal lovers.
There is such an interesting topic on welding forums on the Internet, where disputes have been going on for many years and cannot determine exactly who is right. This dispute is about how to properly saw (cut) metal with a grinder-sparks towards yourself, or sparks from yourself.
As you understood in the photo above, I always saw with sparks on myself, why do I think that it is so right?
I have been working with the grinder tightly for 15 years, before that time I cut it sometimes, from time to time, so if I add up all the time, it will be more than 15 years.
From the very first moments of my work with this tool, I immediately began to cut the metal just like that, sparks on myself. The most powerful argument, in my opinion, is the safer way of cutting.
The metal will be sawed off with any rotation of the disk - sparks away from itself or towards itself. But if there is a biting disc in the metal being sawn, then by inertia the grinder will jerk forward from you, if the disc rotated with sparks at you. But if the rotation was different, then at such a moment the grinder will jump on you and there is a high probability of injury.
The only disadvantage of this method is that if you work not in boots, but in boots, the bottoms of the legs will burn out over time. But it is better to replace work pants more often than get injured.
Friends, recently it became possible to conduct surveys right here in the article. I am very interested in your opinion on this issue, who saws with a grinder. Click on one of the answers in this poll and see how they say who is more!
