I published an article on this topic more than a year ago, there were many comments, people shared their experience of how they cope with bunnies.

I have collected the most useful tips for self-taught people to know what to do, how to relieve pain and avoid serious consequences. The most useful advice was given by doctors, be sure to remember them.

Novocaine can be used as an emergency aid for quick pain relief. And you need to keep it at home where you can find it blindly... Because there may be no one at home. And with "bunnies" in the eyes, even calling an ambulance is problematic... It is necessary, at least, to anesthetize ...

And, by the way, it is better not to self-medicate. Although there are two eyes, they are their own. You can't buy new ones ...

Another tip from an ophthalmologist:

For electrical ophthalmia, currently the best thing is to take the Ketanov pill, or Ketorol. For antibacterial purposes, it is better to use Okomistin 1-2 drops 3 times a day (it does not cause irritation, like Albucid).

With the anti-inflammatory purpose, Nevanak 1-2 drops 3 times a day, and every hour instill 1 drop of the drug Korneregel, both under the lower and under the upper eyelids. This eye gel contains Dexpanthenol, which has a healing and regenerating effect, especially for burn injuries.

Wear dark glasses as the first time after the burn there will be a strong photophobia. The pain will have to endure for the first time, since the mind was enough to violate safety procedures.

The easiest way to relieve pain and sore eyes, at least for a while, is to put something cold on the eyelids of your closed eyes. Many welders use raw potato slices, wet chilled tea bags, and a raw towel for this. But this all helps when the burn is not so strong, a small hare!

So that you do not need these recommendations, follow safety precautions. If it is being welded next to it, do not look at the arc, even with peripheral vision. You weld yourself, even when making an oven mitt, always wear a mask, you were too lazy for a couple of seconds, then inconvenience for several hours. Protect your eyes!
