Such a marinade is suitable for the subsequent use of a root vegetable to be added to borscht or beetroot. Such beets make incredibly tasty winter salads.

Ingredients you need:

  • the root crop itself;
  • salt and sugar;
  • cloves as a spice, who does not like it, may not put it in jars;

Cooking procedure:

  • The root crop is washed and peeled.
  • Cook in a saucepan until it is easily pierced with a knife.
  • They put boiled beets in cold water and forget about them for half an hour.

  • A pinch of citric acid is added.

  • chili pepper - 50 g;
  • a tablespoon of oil;
  • salt to taste.

Cooking procedure:

  • The vegetables are washed, peeled and cut into pieces.
  • Fry the peppers and onions in a skillet for 10 minutes until the onion turns golden.
  • Beets are rubbed on a grater. The tomatoes are mashed in a blender.
  • Add chili to the beets, tomatoes and stew for about an hour.
  • Then fried bell peppers and onions are thrown into the stewed mixture.
  • Reduce heat to low and cook for ten minutes.

The prepared jars are turned over and placed in a dark place, having previously covered with a blanket.
