There are plants with a short growing season, so they can be planted as early as July, almost immediately after the garlic harvest. They will have time to grow and also give a crop. These include greens: dill, spinach, celery, parsley, arugula.

It is very good to plant carrots in such beds. Garlic phytoncides will protect it from diseases and insects. Garlic also grows well after carrots.

How to cultivate the land?

They could appear due to unfavorable weather or due to improper care. Therefore, before planting other vegetables or herbs, it is necessary to treat the soil with a 1% solution of copper sulfate (1 gram per 10 liters of water). Fitosporin, Baktofit or another fungicide is also suitable. Experienced gardeners advise in the fall to add humus or manure to fertilize the soil.

Which plants should not be placed after garlic?

In general, it is not recommended to plant plants belonging to the same family, as they may have similar diseases. Since garlic belongs to the amaryllis family and the onion subfamily, it cannot be placed after it on all types of onions: onions, shallots, leeks, as well as wild garlic and flowers such as daffodils and galanthuses.
