Good afternoon, my reader. A plant planted in autumn saves a lot of time in spring. Colds strengthen them, make them stronger and more enduring. As a reward, you receive a generous bloom. The following 7 types of flowers are the most popular among gardeners.

Perennial aster

Asters differ not only in terms of flowering and height, but also in the structure of flowers - they are pink, peony, chrysanthemum

This culture in horticulture surprises with a variety of varieties, but early flowering species are much better suited for autumn plantings.

The seeds are sown in November. A mandatory landing requirement is frozen ground. Sometimes long-term aster is sown even in early December, directly into the snow. In order for sprouts to appear in the spring, you should not deepen the grains more than 0.5 cm into the base.

For favorable growth, it is necessary to fulfill a number of conditions: humidity should not linger on the site, otherwise the roots will rot, and the place must be quite nice - the asters will disappear in the shade.

Delphinium

For flowers to bloom in late spring or early summer, fall sowing is required. Sow in open ground in November or late October. Sprinkle with a mixture of peat and sand. Since the plant has a low germination capacity, the volume of seeds used must be increased by a third. A sunny spot and good soil are required for normal development.

Herbaceous peony

The plant is produced in cuttings, as a rule, in autumn. In the spring, the peony is not yet ready for this procedure - its root system is depleted, since all the forces are spent on the development of buds. In addition, after similar manipulations, the peony will still not have time to bloom in the still just beginning season.

If the breeding by divisions is carried out in the autumn, the first inflorescences will appear in May. September is not bad for the development of new peony bushes because the heat ends, night temperatures differ significantly from daytime ones, showers come more often, which has a good effect on the condition of the soil.

The main requirement is that 35–45 days should remain before the start of cool weather. This period is enough for the peony to multiply auxiliary roots and solidify in the soil.

Primrose

Gardeners love primroses because they are one of the first to paint flower beds with rich colors. For flowering to occur in May, seeds are sown in open ground in the autumn. The grains are deepened very slightly - by 0.5 cm, the plantings are covered to protect them from severe cold in winter.

Requirements for the fulfillment of which you can rely on the effective growth of the expected plants are a successfully selected planting site, fertility and the necessary soil moisture.

Phlox

Phlox is usually propagated by cuttings, since they root well, but it is most correct to do this in autumn time: spring plantings delay flowering for a whole year, but "autumn" will bloom next summer.

Most clearly, the dates of planting are set depending on the type of flower: early and moderately early form the so-called "buds of renewal" by the end of August. This means that the plant can already be propagated. For late phlox species, this period extends to the second decade of September.

Astilba

This graceful plant, flowering from June to August, is best propagated by splitting a bush. It is recommended to carry out the work in the autumn, if the average daily temperature does not drop below +5 for 2-3 weeks.

Flowering begins next summer, but experts advise not to allow this, to cut off the forming flower stalks. Unpopular "surgical" measures are required due to the fact that a not particularly strong plant in some cases dies, giving the flowers all their strength.

Loosestrife

It is becoming more and more popular among flower growers. It is best to propagate in the fall. When planting seeds, it will please with its flowering only in the third year. Vegetative division will give summer bloom next year.

Planted in the first half of autumn, when there will be no young foliage. A deep hole should be prepared. Then the plant will take root better.

Fall planting helps save spring time. At the same time, flowering begins the next season.
