What products should you stock up on for making salad

To prepare one half-liter jar you will need:

  • 3-4 medium-sized cucumbers;
  • 2 tomatoes;
  • sweet pepper - 2 pieces;
  • one carrot;
  • one onion;
  • table vinegar 9% - one and a half tbsp. l;
  • vegetable oil - 50 ml (3 tbsp. l.);
  • salt and sugar in small amounts to taste.

For a batch of five half-liter cans, prepare:

  • cucumbers - 2 kg;
  • tomato - 1 kg;
  • bell pepper - 2 kg;
  • carrots - a pound;
  • onions - 500-600 g;
  • table vinegar 0.9% - 100 ml (glass);
  • sugar - 5 teaspoons, salt - half as much;
  • sunflower oil - 200 ml (glass).

Three stages of cooking a garden miracle

The process of preparing a salad will require patience, inspiration and skill. And spice up your dish with love for those for whom you are preparing it.

Stage 1: preparing vegetables

It will require patience and hard work from the performer:

  • Wash the cucumbers in plenty of cold water, cut off their ends, grate them on a coarse grater. You can use any vegetables in the salad (large, overripe, crooked).
  • Scrape the skin off the carrots and grate the vegetable on a coarse grater.
  • Peel and chop the onions. In order not to shed tears when working with onions, soak them in cold water after peeling.
  • Wash the bell pepper, cut the stalks, remove the seeds.
  • Puree the tomato. To do this, make several cuts on the fruits. Pour boiling water over them, rinse in cold water. After such processing, peel the skin off the tomatoes without much difficulty. Use a blender to puree the tomatoes.

Stage 2: direct preparation

Choose a suitable container. A frying pan with a thick bottom is suitable for a small volume; for a large one, take a cauldron. Fry carrots and onions in vegetable oil until golden brown. After a few minutes, add the grated cucumbers and chopped peppers.

Simmer vegetables for five minutes, add tomato puree. Salt everything, add sugar, simmer for another 30 minutes over low heat.

Stage 3: packaging and seaming

Pack the hot salad in sterilized jars and roll them up. Turn the jars upside down and wrap them up. In this position, let it stand until it cools down, then return it to its original position. The salad is perfectly stored at room temperature (preferably in a dark place).

Containers with such blanks are emptied very quickly. Serve the salad on a festive table, for a friendly get-together, for a family dinner, or simply eat with boiled potatoes. This is delicious!
