Experienced gardeners do not recommend using unnatural preparations for growing environmentally friendly products for feeding cucumber seedlings. It is optimal to use natural fertilizers and compositions prepared according to folk recipes.
Bread formulas for cucumber beds are safe, economical and simple. You will need to fill a standard bucket up to 2/3 with crusts of Borodino bread cut into slices, fill them with water and leave them in a warm room for 1-1.5 weeks. Then the prepared starter culture is diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 3. A product is used with a small amount of universal fertilizer in the proportions of 1 box per 12 liters of water.
The bushes are watered with infusion from the beginning of the flowering period until the end of fruiting. It is optimal to apply top dressing once a week. Bread-based sourdough is optimal for alkaline soil. To neutralize the acid, flour or chalk can be added to the composition before adding water.
Feeding cucumber beds with ash is universal. The product belongs to organic feeding. Ash contains calcium, which enhances the growth of cucumber seedlings. Ash is placed in the ground 5-6 times during the growth and fruiting of the garden culture. Top dressing from yeast, onion husks
The benefits of yeast are as follows:
- increased sprout endurance;
- normalization of root formation;
- improving the protective characteristics of the plant;
- stimulating the growth of cucumbers;
- rapid growth of vegetative mass;
- accelerated formation of ovaries.
Fertilizer is prepared as follows:
- dry yeast (10 g) is dissolved in heated water (10 l);
- sugar is added to the mixture (2 tbsp. l.) and insist for 2-2.5 hours;
- then the composition is diluted with water (50 l).
Yeast means are applied 2 times per season:
- 2 weeks after transplanting into the soil;
- after treatment with phosphorus compounds.
Infusion of onion husks has an effective effect on vegetable crops. To prepare the product, pour the onion peel (1 glass) with water (8 l) and place the dishes on the stove. The product is brought to a boil and tightly closed. The composition is left for 3-4 hours, then it is filtered and the cucumber beds are processed. The tool is required to be poured at the root of the seedlings. The composition can be used to irrigate bushes to protect against insect pests and diseases.
To prevent the appearance of yellow spots on the cucumber leaves, prepare a solution of soda. It is necessary to mix water (10 l) with food (1 tbsp. l.), then plantings are watered with a solution.
To prevent the appearance of powdery mildew, it is required to dissolve soda (1 tsp. l.) in water (1 l) and spray the leaves.
