There is one recipe that beats the others in complexity. But it is from this complexity that they become very tasty. The problem is that you need to get confused and put a clove of garlic in each tomato before the tomatoes go into the jar. Moreover, the garlic should not fall out of the tomatoes when they turn over there during and after the cans are rolled.
Preparation for cooking
What ingredients are needed:
- medium-sized tomatoes about six hundred grams;
- a head with small cloves of garlic;
- water - 400 grams;
- salt - a tablespoon;
- sugar - three tablespoons;
- vinegar - 1 large spoon (use nine percent);
- dill and cloves umbrellas - two each;
- black peppercorns - 4 pieces;
- black currant foliage - 5 pieces.
The indicated weight is based on a liter can.
Cooking tomatoes with garlic inside: step by step instructions
After all the ingredients are prepared, they proceed to the marinade preparation procedure. First of all, one-liter jars are washed and sterilized in a microwave oven or steamed over a kettle.
Attention! Let them dry before putting tomatoes and other spices into the jars.
Steps for preparing tomatoes and marinade for them:
- The tomatoes are washed thoroughly and carefully so as not to crush the skin.
- Slightly elongated tomatoes are used. They fit better in glassware.
- Peel the garlic and wash the cloves in running water.
- A cut is made on tomatoes, where it is attached to the stem. The vegetable is cut so that the cutout looks like a small cross. It is desirable that the incision is deep rather than wide.
- Then they take the garlic and insert it inside the tomato.
- Carnation and dill umbrellas are placed in a jar. The bottom is lined with currant leaves.
- Fall asleep black pepper. Put tomatoes. They are pressed tightly against each other.
- Pour in hot water. Preferably boiling water.
- Cap and leave for thirty minutes.
- Pour the fragrant marinade into a saucepan.
- Add vinegar, salt and sugar as much as it was written above in the list.
- Bring to a boil.
Now the boiled marinade is poured into jars and glassware is rolled up. Turn over and cover with a blanket. They are put in a dark place for two days.
It is not recommended to use simple screw caps. Since such a step will lead to the loss of hermetic properties.
