What is the post-collection care

First, a little about how she is planted. The best time to plant a bush is spring or autumn. The seedling must be placed in the hole very carefully so as not to touch the root system, which in the future can negatively affect the quantity and seems to be the crop. At the bottom of the pit, you need to add a little manure and a lot of compost. The root system should go underground to a depth of about 6 centimeters.

After harvesting, the shrub needs good care and pruning of shoots. The procedure must be performed between November and March, until the buds of the plant begin to develop. For the first three years, it is necessary to closely monitor the condition of the branches and remove very thin and damaged ones. This will prevent further drying out of the bush. Thick shoots will then also have to be cut off to make room for the younger and thinner ones. Leave about 6 one-year-old shoots and 3 two-year-old shoots.

In the fall, it is recommended to use manure in the form of top dressing, which contains a large supply of potassium. Chopped oak bark is sprinkled under the bush to protect the root system from freezing and protect it from drying out.

Propagation by cuttings. How to increase fit

The currant is propagated by cuttings after the crop has been harvested. Closer to October, annual shoots of 15-20 centimeters are neatly cut off. This manipulation must be done with special care and precision.

After the shoots are cut off, it is necessary to place a layer of sand on the bottom of the dug furrow. Half of the kidney should be on the surface. The distance between the cuttings is usually about 15 centimeters. A year later, fresh shoots will give life to new bushes. Use mineral fertilizing for fertilization. And do it from the beginning of spring.

The powder is scattered neatly around the entire bush. As early as April, more organic fertilizers such as manure or compost can be taken, which will need to be placed in a small layer around the bushes. These, at first glance, simple post-harvest manipulations will allow you to get an equally good harvest next season.
