In 2001, the concept of the UAZ 2760 "Stalker" model was demonstrated at the Moscow International Motor Show. It was a pickup truck developed on the Simbir platform. It was planned to put the car into mass production by 2003, however, for reasons unknown for certain, this project was abandoned altogether, giving priority to cars of the Patriot family. The only built prototype "Stalker" today can be seen in the exposition of the UAZ museum.

One of the pickup concepts from the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant is the UAZ 2362 Bizon. Its presentation took place within the framework of the international exhibition MIMS in 2000. A year later, in 2001, at the same Moscow Motor Show, a modification of the Bizon was demonstrated, which, however, was assigned only the 2363 index. However, neither the first nor the second modernized model made it into mass production.

3. Rurik

This concept of the domestic auto industry, based on the UAZ-469 platform, began to be developed further from the eighties of the last century, and a little more than ten years later in 1998 - the project was frozen. In difficult times, there was simply not enough funding for the new model, and its author and ideological inspirer Nikolai Kotov was no longer alive. In fairness, it should be noted that, despite the rejection of mass production, they still managed to create one prototype. This happened four years before the project was closed - in 1994.

In fact, this SUV concept is a kind of modification of the Hunter. But the Cannoneer, in fact, like Rurik, had a body not made of metal, but of fiberglass on a tubular frame. The authors of the concept planned to release the car in several versions - a two-seater open pickup, a five-seater, and a five-seat pickup truck plus two station wagons - thus, it was going to be promoted both to the civilian market and to the military needs. In 2000, they even collected several samples of the Gunner, and by 2001 it was planned to start mass production, but these ideas remained unfulfilled.

5. Conceptual "Loaf"

"Loaf" is one of the most popular UAZ models since Soviet times. Therefore, it is not surprising that they wanted to promote it to the foreign market. This is how the new model of "Loaf" appeared, which was planned to be exported to the countries of the Middle East. True, its appearance has changed dramatically: the body has become almost unrecognizable, and the glazing area has also increased. At the end of 2005-beginning of 2006, the car went from paper to material form: its only prototype was assembled, but mass production was still abandoned. At first, the preserved copy of the "Loaf" was used for official purposes, and later it was transferred to private hands.
