Aged fat on the cooking utensils does not just spoil its appearance, it interferes with the hostess (or the owner) from using this item with full efficiency. The problem is that getting rid of years of stuck fat from the pan is not easy. Especially if you don't know what can help in this difficult matter. It is for this reason that you should definitely adopt one effective cleaning method.

What you need: screwdriver, ammonia, plastic bags or garbage bags, short cord, dish sponge, basin of water.

Important: ammonia has a pungent odor. In order to avoid unpleasant consequences, it is recommended to use a bandage for the respiratory tract and gloves during work.

So, if the pan has a plastic handle, then the first step is to remove it. An ordinary screwdriver will help in this matter. The handle is cleaned of grease separately with a sponge (including a metal one) using detergent and warm water. We will wash the fat with the "folk method" only in the frying pan itself. To do this, we take 2-3 plastic bags and, after making sure they are tight, we put them one into one.

When this is done, take our frying pan and place it inside the bags. After that we put it on the table and squeeze air out of the bags. When this is done, pour 50-100 mg of ammonia into the pan, tighten the bags tightly and tie them with a pre-prepared cord.

Once again making sure that the bags are tight, we begin to shake them well, constantly turning them over. This must be done so that the ammonia is evenly distributed and cleans all parts of the pan. After that, we take out the tied packages to the balcony and leave there for 12 hours. This should be enough to soften the fat with alcohol.

After half a day, all that remains is to carefully remove the pan and get rid of the alcohol. After this “pre-treatment”, a sponge and warm water will very quickly and easily cleanse the fat that has softened on the metal.
