Kitchen renovation is a very important matter, which must be approached with all seriousness. Most often, errors are made in the process of planning a room, and subsequently it is very difficult to correct them without significant financial investments. Novate.ru has compiled a list of mistakes that should be avoided so that in the future they do not cause a large number of problems during the operation of the kitchen.
Mistake 1: The headset is along the wall
In many articles with the heading "How to arrange furniture and appliances in the kitchen" the authors mention the so-called working triangle. It is a convenient location for the refrigerator, stove, sink and worktop.
We offer you several solutions: if the kitchen is large, put a kitchen island opposite the headset stretched along the wall. This is exactly the missing element that will allow you to form a perfect working triangle.
For tiny kitchens, there is another solution to the problem - try an L-shaped or U-shaped layout. In this case, the headset will take up a minimum of space, but at the same time everything you need will be at hand.
Mistake 2: Incorrectly positioned sink
When choosing a sink, it is very important to pay attention to its size. A small copy is suitable only if you practically do not cook at home, preferring to eat in a cafe or order food with delivery. In all other cases, you need to buy a deep sink that can accommodate a mountain of dirty dishes so that it does not clutter up the work surface.
Alternatively, buy a sink with two compartments, one of which will be designed for dishes, and the other for washing vegetables. And if the sink is equipped with a kind of continuation, as in the photo, then you will immediately have extra space for the location of hot dishes.
Now we turn directly to the issue of sink placement. The corner of the kitchen is not the best option, since it will be inconvenient to approach the plumbing. In addition, it will be difficult to open cabinets and drawers while washing dishes.
If you cannot move the sink to another place due to technical issues, select the kitchen set in such a way that it does not form a right angle.
Mistake 3: poor storage
Most housewives prefer to store heavy utensils like pans and pots in the lower cabinets. As a result, when they need to get the necessary thing, they have to bend over or squat each time, which is very uncomfortable. In addition, usually the desired pan is located in the corner, and to get to it, you must move all the rest of the utensils.
Another unfortunate storage place is the drawers, which are located near the floor. Due to the inconvenient format, only trays and trays for the oven can be stored in them. While these kitchen utensils are not needed as often, it is still very difficult to get to them.
Dividers are also needed to store pots in the lower drawers. They are needed in order to fold the lids separately. If they don't get in the way, you can easily arrange pots and pans like a nesting doll.
For kitchens that are small in size, open storage is ideal. For example, you can install hooked bars on the wall, which perfectly fit the same pans. And beautiful plates and mugs will become a wonderful decor if you place them on open shelves. Compact, comfortable and stylish.
Mistake 4: Narrow aisles
If there is an island in your kitchen, remember that there should be a free passage of about 100-120 centimeters between it and the set. This distance allows you to move around the room without problems, without clinging to corners, and without colliding with household members running towards. Also, try not to put the dining table too close to the exit, so that it is convenient to open / close the doors to the kitchen (if they swing open inward).
Remember: All furniture should be located on the available space in such a way that no one stumbles and nothing interferes with free movement. Therefore, make sure you have wide aisles.
Error 5: Incorrectly selected hood
The absence of a hood in the kitchen immediately makes itself felt with the aroma of cutlets in the air, even after you have eaten them. Smells permeate absolutely everything: from textiles to furniture. Things are especially bad if you have a studio and kitchen combined with a bedroom or living room. Of course, you can open the window, but the effect will be noticeably worse. And in winter, you run the risk of catching a cold due to a draft.
When choosing a hood, answer yourself a few questions:
1. Will you limit yourself to a circular filter or will you make a ventilation system?
2. What is the preferred power rating for your kitchen? It directly depends on the duration and frequency of cooking.
3. How much space are you willing to allocate for the hood?
4. Which filter will you choose: grease or charcoal?
5. How high will you hang the device? Depends on the stove.

Mistake 6: Overly flamboyant design
Usually, when designing kitchens, the owners do not take into account their size, as a result of which the already tiny rooms become even smaller. This is especially true for the decoration of the premises. For small rooms, you need to choose neutral shades. But the bright self-leveling floor with the 3D effect, which was popular several years ago, will significantly narrow the space and quickly get bored.

The same goes for the kitchen apron. There is no need to select tiles with bright images for it. Better to stop at an elegant geometric print or small multi-colored tiles. The color of the apron should be in harmony with the overall interior.
