When winter approaches, rodents and pests are drawn to those places where there is something to eat during hungry and cold times. Traditionally, these "places" are warehouses, barns and people's homes. There are many ways to control rodents, but not all are equally good. Fortunately, there is one simple, truly "old-fashioned" method that must be adopted.
So, in order to catch all the rodents in the house, you need only three things. The first is some kind of bait with a pungent (for mice) smell. Raw smoked sausages or aged cheese are ideal. The second is an empty bottle. Your best bet is to use a lemonade bottle. You will also need a wire that is thick and strong enough.
The mechanism of the trap is as simple as a steamed turnip. The lid of the vessel is removed. A small amount of bait is laid at the very bottom of the bottle. After that, you need to try to determine exactly where the mice nest. This may not be easy to do. Having established at least approximately such a place, we collect the trap. To do this, we make a hole in the bottle and insert a wire into it. After that, we bend it so that we get the legs. The whole structure should resemble a swing.
Important: It is best to fix the entire structure on a wooden base and nail a board to it, which will act as a cover for the trap. The bottle should be installed so that its neck is facing up until the mouse is inside.
As a result, the mice will feel the bait and climb into the bottle. In most cases, due to the slippery surface, the rodents will no longer be able to get out. And most importantly, under the weight of the rodent, the "swing" is triggered, the bottle is lowered and its neck is closed with a piece of wood. There is no more exit for the rodent.

In the end, all that remains is to discard the bottle. If you wish, you can try to cut off the neck and release the mice somewhere further away from home.
