Laptops are primarily purchased for work outside the home. But sometimes it takes only a year as the capacitive values of the battery of this technique fall to minimum values. In this case, you need to immediately take certain methods to increase battery life.
First of all, you need to carefully consider the type of battery used. If outdated NiCad or Nickel Cadmium batteries are used, they have a memory effect. That is, in order to charge them up to 100%, you must first discharge them and only then charge them to the required values.
The best can be considered LiIon or lithium-ion batteriesthat do not have a memory effect and are charged up to 100% from any residual voltage. But they have a liquid inside and have a power of no more than 100 W * h (they are no longer allowed by the airlines for safety reasons - sometimes they explode).
Better are LiPoly or lithium polymer batteries., which also quickly charge, store the container for a long time and are absolutely safe in terms of operation, since they are considered "dry". But they are more expensive than others.
At the same time, you need to remember one thing - the laptop battery must be charged correctly, that is, up to 80%. And it is advisable to immediately put it in the refrigerator, periodically taking it out for work outside the home. With this approach, you can be sure of one thing - the battery will really last up to ten years! And remember that charging the battery up to 100% in extreme heat (over 40 degrees) is not always appropriate - the charge of lithium-ion cells will almost instantly jump to 120% and the battery will wear out faster.
If the old battery has managed to wear out, then it's okay - you can give it to the master for restoration, in which all worn-out cells are replaced with new analogues. Or buy a new battery, which nowadays costs up to $ 30, often has a capacity of up to 2,700 mAh, and this often lasts up to several hours of operation under moderate load.
You can buy a battery with a capacity of up to 5000 mAh and that's enough for games. But this applies to older versions of laptops, in which the latch can be used to powerfully remove the battery. In newer versions of laptops, you will have to work a little - remove the cover and only then change the battery. It is better to transfer this work to a master who will do this type of work with great responsibility.
